Hi, today, you receive 2 new subscriptions from me (autoepocanordest and retrocomputingnordest) from Italy because i lived the same your long "war" when i restored a Matra Murena, 1981, 1.6 litre. The same problems. A long war, for 6 years to restore all. At the end, a big satisfaction. Good job. Top.

Your videos are great. Since you live up north, why don't you have rubber boots, so you don't soak your feet? Good for you for mentioning Ronald Finger's restoration. He is entertaining as well as informative.

I really appreciate your humility, reminds me of me. I'I removed the... because I'm dumb'. It's great! Looks like you were righty-tighty on the EGR valve stuff that broke. Got sucked into the moment, lol. It happens. ETA: I like that wrench to poush the fuel line method. I have control issues with my hands and that would be a great help.

Good eyes! stuff like this happens all the time on old cars... Almost broke the radiator fan motor nut because I didnt know it was reverse thread... Don't want to tell everything I tried before I accidently started turning the wrench the other direction lol.
@evlutionzllc5519 Жыл бұрын
@@Cus7ate9 I hate reverse thread stuff. There should be some sort of universal marking, let me see like 'LH' on all 6 sides of the bolt, nut to indicate reverse thread. I have a Fiero that was driven 3 miles by the previous owner around 2006 and let sit for the remainder until I got it recently. I suffer with you, our effort will be worth it in the end. At least we have something to pour our love, thought and attention into, lol

I have a friend that has a 1988 Pontiac fiero with the V6 and all it needs is a fuel pump and filter and it will run and drive and it's black and grey interior and it's in great condition it's been taken care of ever since they got it new and it's always been in the garage.....

It would be great to do a full restoration i know it would cost to much. I have 85 GT 60k miles original. If i every had the money i would like to do a off the frame restoration. Cool you car you have there i hope you can restore it they are a piece of history.

31:51 How did you prevent the car from rolling when you jack it up, did you put wheel chocks under under the front tyres or? Because the handbrake is locking the rear, so the front will be loose when you jack the car up or am I missing something?
@Cus7ate95 ай бұрын
I jacked up the front of the car too, it's on ramps in the front and has rubber wheel chocks on the ramps with jack stands and a jack in the back, you can see the front is up around the 33:06 mark. I just didn't film that.

@@Cus7ate9 Thank you very much for responding, I bought a fiero that has been sitting for so long neither the brakes or the handbrake is working, so I am struggling to lift mine, 👍
@RyneLanders Жыл бұрын
Why did you break the bolts loose with a manual ratchet and then use the impact gun to finish them? Wouldn't the impact gun have loosened it easier than your ratchet and hand strength?
@Cus7ate9 Жыл бұрын
I usually do that, something I guess I picked up over time, just to break them free. And I only used the impact because I didn't have a electric ratchet.. just force of habit I guess. I've stripped the threads on a lot of bolts using an impact gun first

Dude I hope you reply after 3 years, last episode you'r car wouldn't turn off, what did you exactly do for that problem ??🤣
@Cus7ate95 ай бұрын
The issue was the ECM, the jumper wire that the previous owner had on the fuel pump to always have it on was the reason the car wasn't turning off. The fuel pump always running kept the car running, replaced the ECM, and fuel pump and shutting off problem was fixed
@thelombax5 ай бұрын
