Rebuilding the Storage Lockers on a Precision 16

Coming along nicely Dave. On my P18 I replaced the cracked retaining board on the port locker with some oak from Home Depot. Something like 1/4" by 2 1/2", I forget. But I cut those angles and varnished it and it looks nice and is very strong. I'm looking forward to your P16 sailing video and your impressions on how it sails. I did all my P18 projects last year, so it is all cleaned up and just hibernating for the winter now. ( I did replace the leaking hose section of the centerboard line tube this Fall.)

@@saabtech3510 It seems like there’s always something to work on. I have a P-18 lifeline stanchion that needs to be re-bed…but I may put it off till next year. We will see. The P-16 desperately needs a new rudder, as the one it came with was home-made by the previous owner after the original rudder split in half. I’m thinking a nice RudderCraft performance model will do nicely! 😁
