I think making changes during play phase are okay. But I’ve always agreed with no major changes. For instance, if someone needs to make a circuit change, or if a new feature comes out, or if they feel the room needs a couch(not game changing or crazy in ink change.) But adding entirely new subrooms, changing the context of your game, etc. not okay. I think judging the top 25-30 in engagement in each category is understandable and offers that push for engagement. I think this was the extreme side of trying new things out this contest in efforts to try to find the happy medium.

@@Shark-pj8in I mean the way I thought it out. judge top 25, come to your top 7. And judge their published version to their final version. If there’s major changes- disqualified and judge the next in line for that spot. By cutting the amount of rooms that need to be judged it allows more time for this correction.

I agree with everything you said here. I definitely feel bad for the staff. Kudos to Pow and Hairy, they did great as always. It was great talking to Mereisa and some of the other winners. Our team was there in the room with you watching the video and we were so confused when we didn't see the Activity category announced. It wasn't till we all went to the updated room that we found out we won. Had we not saw it we would have had no idea we won second place when amo talked to Pow and Hairy!

For the editing during play phase part.. it was so amazing to have for a quest build, because of all the rec room bugs. We had things done and then used that time to fix anything that broke just because more than our build team was playing it.

Also gotta mention the prize hand out process... it was a mess... we got best original soundtrack track, but another team was given the prizes for it and shown in the awards room... and our team didn't get any of our prizes until a week after the roomies... while we watched others get prizes that didn't win and some that did win get double boxes... so crazy haha... For sure agree that they were trying to do something new, it was a new leader that didn't fully understand how HUGE of an undertaking this was (honestly don't blame him at all), and that they were just trying to give more creators a chance... but so many things just didn't work out haha Us creators need to be respectful in how we give feedback rather than go all "rabid Karen" on people. ❤

The biggest thing is a lot of people didn’t put efforts into engagement because they were in top 50. And they implied engagement wouldn’t have an impact as it did in the past… but it sounds like it has…
