The eggs were sold in 25 stores in a hand full of states alabama, Georgia, south carolina, north carolina, and Tennessee over salmonella. So it's not a nation wide thing and it was only the 24 egg organic package sold in those 25 or so stores in those 5 states sold by that farm. No need to panic.

its in the description and can be found in any search - Salmonella. Samonella and Bird Flu are wreaking havok on the US egg supply - thus raising prices specifically in the regions the contamination is occurring. In some situations this region is quite large because of large distribution channels like Costco, Walmart, Kroeger etc. Note that in some regions egg prices have not risen at all. It all depends if an area has a competitive marketplace. But you are right they really should be specific - good journalism is WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and WHY. They dropped the WHY.

I ate 4 of them last week and got food poisoning chills vomiting weakness soreness i thought it was the flu at first but the more i threw up the better i felt. Took about 3 days to recover
