Literally the only reason I even started to play Junkrat.. Before watching him, I'm 99% confident that I had maximum 1 hour on junkrat and rhat would only be because of Randomized Heroes modes (mirror deathmatch, mystery heroes, stuff like that) Now, I have 45 hours on Junkrat. It's almost doubling my second highest character playtime on Ana (26 hours), which I have mained almost every time I loaded up overwatch in between my couple month breaks and he's also my highest level at 24 (Ana is second highest at 17, her level is actually tied with Ramattra, despite Ramattra having only 14 hours of playtime) Vulture made me reignite my love for the game, and Junkrat is definitely fun, and if you play him the way Vulture plays Junkrat, you'll realize Junkrat does in fact take plenty of skill. Literally gotta be a geometry pro to hit mid air shots while the enemy is also flying...

Mechanically and aim wise he is indeed the best one, but they all have their own unique playstyles. Vulture likes to play Junkrat a lot more goofy and risky, whilst Aquamarine plays it a lot safer and more supporting his team. Gurkmeister does most of the different aspects of Junkrat best tho and his predictions are literally unrivalled.

The thing is big plays like shown in those clips dont say anything about how good a hero is. Big plays lime this happen only once in many games, so it lags any form of consistency. And just let consistency be one of the most important factors for a hero to have. Compare it to a soccer player that never scores, but manages to score a beautiful goal once every 20 matches. The second player is consistant, scores a goal often without being a spectecular player. The second player is definitely the prefered one.

Junkrat is both the least and most skill required hero. He requires alot of skill to shoot his projectiles accurately as well as use his mines properly. But he can also be used to almost the same effect by just spamming and shooting randomly until it hits someone at random

the thing that's really astounding is that we're 8 years in and people still can't wrap their heads around the idea that learning predictive aiming with projectiles is a skill that has to be trained, same as flickshot and aim training on a hitscan character. anything you have to practice to get better at is by definition a skill.
