Japanese crowd being "emotionless" is such a disrespectful way to put it. They are more focused to match, theyd rather concentrate on the fight rather than shout.

Agreed, I should have corrected myself and said "reserved" instead. No disrespect was intended. Japanese boxing fans are very respectful. I remember how they applauded Fulton as he left the ring. They are a great example of how to treat athletes that risk so much for our entertainment.

I had a feeling Inoue was deliberately fighting open and taking hits. They clearly weren't bothering him too much - did you see the post fight pictures? Tapales looked like he'd been in a car crash and Inoue looked like he'd just hopped out of the shower.

Had Mayweather stayed in one division he would've done the same thing so is Pacquiao. And Inoue's lists of victims on his way to claiming two undisputed belts in two division isn't impressive at all knocking out average champions who's so scared to death to engage with him in fights he was heavily favored to win.
@SgtMcCuddles
@SgtMcCuddles Жыл бұрын
inoue's a champion in 4 weight divisions, undisputed twice. mayweather was a champion in 5, but never undisputed. it's not that easy to go undisputed, it has only been done by 9 different fighters in the 4 belt era, only 2 fighters have ever gone 2x undisputed in 2 weight divisions. you're saying inoue had no credible opponents going 2x undisputed, which is odd, because if it's that easy, why doesn't everyone do it, why couldn't mayweather even do it once?

Yep, it's funny how some say that the fella who knock down another fella 3 times in the fight ( the first was not a slip ) and the last one was a KO., and say that fella doesn't look good. in this fight with Tapales, lol. I mean, as good as the fight was, keep in mind it didn't even last to the 12th.. For people to say Tapales gave Inoue his toughest fight, should not be considered one of the 'toughest'...Because if it was to be one of the toughest then it should last to the 12th and go to the cards like Donaire vs Inoue first fight..NOW that was tough for sure...This fight you can say was a bit more competitive than his previous two ..After all, Tapales is a tough and rugged type of fighter.. Not only that, Inoue was never hurt nor in duress at any time of the fight.. Imagine this..Let's say they fight 3 or even 10 more times, what's the chance of Tapales even winning one of those, NONE. After all, this fight was the best Tapales could give already...if he want to last to the 12th ,lets say, he would have to do a Paul Butler thingy, lol
@PYPBoxing
@PYPBoxing Жыл бұрын
Tapales put up a very good effort and he did some excellent things vs Inoue, but clearly Inoue is on another level. Tapales can be champion again if Inoue decides to move up to 126.

Akmhadaliev is flat footed, if INOUE doesn't want to be hit, he fights from the distance and it would be very very difficult for MJ Akmhadaliev. MJ was rocked by Tapales a couple of times in the jaw and if INOUE is the one to hit him I don't think MJ will last 12 rounds.
@pallen49

Agree. I think Luis Nery is more dangerous. I plan to fly to Japan to see this fight in May. If Inoue fights MJ like he did Fulton, MJ has no chance. If Inoue fights him like he did Tapales, he can score a bit more, but still get knocked out.

@PYPBoxing
@PYPBoxing Жыл бұрын
Yes, the punch stats look very one-sided. But punch stats don't always tell the story and can be inaccurate. Tapales caught a lot of the punches on this gloves. Still, you can't deny Inoue landed more cleaner, harder punches. Both fighters had to make adjustments throughout the fight. That is what makes a fight competitive.
@forest282
@forest282 Жыл бұрын
@@PYPBoxingit wasn’t a beat down but it was pretty one sided scoring. Tapales had moments but they were too far in between. He may have won maybe 2 rounds though. We were getting too used to seeing inoue blow through fighters and tapales just did better than most.

If Tapales let it go right from the bell, it would have been an earlier KO & Tapales knows it so he concentrated on a PHILLY SHELL defense. INOUE let Tapales hit him just to open up, Inoue knows he can absorb the punches of Tapalis.

Theres some history on the nery fight vs inoue, nery is banned from japan from a fight he fought a country man of inoue and retired him, they banned nery for going in the scale heavier, so he was banned for that reason and for the whoopping nery gave his country man, forgot the dudes name but look it up, i believe inoue wants to revenge his country man, but let me say this, nery aint no slouch, hell give inoue trouble for a few rounds but i feel like inoue will take over, inoue cant afford to go toe to toe with nery i know what am talking bout, im just little skeptical on nery if he get caught with inoues body shots then it be over like when he fought the heart breaker.

He should stay at 122 till his last days. At 126 I think that Figueroa, Holmatova or whatever his name is... also Ford, Lopez, Vargas. they will all beat Inoue very easily. because they are huge. if such a dwarf as the Filipino could chase Inoue around the ring, then these thugs would simply beat him to death in the corner of the ring... I also noticed how Inoue began to get tired and breathe heavily in the middle of the fight. This didn't happen before. This is probably already his weight limit. That's why I say Pacquiao used steroids. otherwise you see even a guy like Inoue starts to get tired because of the new weight. But Pacquiao was like a robot because he used illegal substances that gave him stamina.❤

@@PYPBoxingI think Nakatani will stay at 118 for a year or two at least. Inoue will probably finish his business at 122 in 2024, as he's said he wants to fight thrice next year versus Nery, MJ and possibly Casimero. If he finds that his body is acclimated to 122 he's probably moving up again in 2025, which is when I feel junto moves up.
@PYPBoxing
@PYPBoxing Жыл бұрын
It's not the craziest idea. That fight would be huge in Japan. Inoue is choosing to stay at 122 even after unifying all of the belts. There is a reason he plans to stay there while Nakatani is moving up. Nakatani has the height to move up several more divisions as well.
@gideonartistry
@gideonartistry Жыл бұрын
@@PYPBoxing That's a bad marketing strategy. If Nakatani loses, Japan will lose a rising star and Inoue won't get any credit on that. It's a waste of time for Naoya to fight his countrymen.

Casimero would have to get into a mandatory position to get Inoue in the ring. They were scheduled to fight in 2020, but COVID got in the way. Casimero is 34 years old now and hasn't shown very good stamina recently. Not sure he is in the best position to beat Inoue now.

It's not all on Crawford. He tried to move on, but contractually cannot fight anyone other than Spence next. So the ball is in Errol's court right now.
