Wasn't that happening to him during the regular season in Florida? I'm not sure cuz I'm far removed being a Canucks fan from Vancouver. I don't have skin in the game so I'm not biased by favoritism. The coach, the team cohesion, the desire and grit, a goalie in a major groove, and elevated levels from Montour, Tchahuk, and others tell me they're the favorites to win the Cup in their franchise's 30th anniversary.

The most forward thinking / experienced play by Tkachuk hasn't been the goals. It's how, AFTER he scores, he's all business, on to the next game. That's a mindset that only comes after losing with Calgary (who lost very similarly to Edmonton last year as Florida did to Tampa, and that's extremely important to how he's performed here).

I think, the fact that Tkachuk was basically a background player for the last 4 against Toronto while Bobrovsky stole the series (it was far closer than Leafs fans who act like they were blown out would have one believe) leads me to believe he's in the lead. If Tkachuk continues to lead like he has.. it's still Bob. These two games, Carolina threw the kitchen sink at them and Bob had to bail them out more than a few times.

If anything, their offensive production has been somewhat lacking so far in this series. While they have taken the 2-0 lead, it's not like they're unbeatable, and they needed OT to win both games. I'm not denying they have a great chance of coming out of this series and potentially winning the Cup, but they can't rely on Bob to steal games the rest of the way. They're gonna need to start putting more goals on the board, otherwise the Canes could certainly make this series close.

Honestly the Panthers should've lost to Toronto with the production they had. But in this series they do have an excuse that is Canes defense and it's very solid outside of those mistakes that Florida turns into goals. My heart said Florida wins, but my brain said Carolina makes quick work of the Cats. Game 3 will be very pivotal as 3-0 or 2-1 series lead is at stake and Kochetkov probably starts that is 3rd different Canes goalie for the Panthers to solve

I get that series are long but for Carolina to play like a cornered animal just means that our 2nd-4th liners and our 2nd-3rd D pairings all play one step above their position in the lineup. Carolina doesn't have anyone who is capable of just willing this team into the Stanley Cup Finals. We don't have people like Tkchuck and Bobrovski. I think this series is over in 5, maybe 4.

@@frankpropri540 right, but what I'm saying is the Hurricanes have a spread of players who can play well, but not any players amazing enough to just will the team on to the next round. The Panthers have THE best goaltender of this playoff. They also have Tkachuck, a true super star who thrives in the playoffs (where the standard rules just disappear). I think Kochetkov is our only goalie capable of possibly matching Bobrovski right now, but he's just not ready yet. The only way he would match Bob is if he goes on a 2006 Cam Ward level heater. That's just not realistic. I think Andersen and Raanta are too injury prone to be able to play game after game with >.970 save percentages. I think if Svech and/or Patches were around, the Sanes would have the scoring will to be able to defeat Bob, but they currently have to rely on 3rd and 4th liners to get that scoring. There's only so much you can expect from those guys.

Vegas or Dallas on paper matches up well against Florida, but at this point I don't think it matters. Florida is one of those teams that has a lot of FU in them. A hot goalie with Bark and Tkuck might just be enough to get it done.

I've been a Canes fan since almost the beginning. Panthers are a better/younger/hungrier/more talented team and I'm pretty sure Svechnikov wouldn't be the difference. Canes took too much of a beating in the first round and they're a step slower than they have been for most of the year.

As a panthers fan all over the comments sections for the panthers and the teams they played against, the canes fan have been the best. Every team has one or two a holes lol but Boston and Toronto are the reverse. Nothing but respect for the canes and the Caniacs. Vegas just took down the most potent offensive team in the playoffs last round and looked pretty good in their game 1 WCF win. Florida is looking great, but the Cup final won't be a cakewalk if they make it there, especially if they don't start scoring more than 2 regulation time goals in a game

As a former Yotes fan-(2003-2016) it hurts to see Rannta losing games but I unfortunately have been taking my Panthers throughout the playoffs!! (Panthers fan since 2017) Moved from Arizona to Miami, Florida in 2016 and it's great out here and I've been a Heat fan since 1997 so it was time to rock with my Florida teams (Heat, Jaguars, TB Rays and now the Panthers)

I'm all smile here Finland. Finally had a change to watch Panthers game. From 3Am to 6Am. 😂 It was so solid performance from Panthers that I just knew that they can take this win. Even in the first period Carolina didn't get many dangerous changes with those 20 shots. I just love this team! 🎉
