@Lwandile M Olivia Munn, as good as an actress as she is, is not as a big of as name as tom cruise so not sure she would be able to dictate terms. There are videos of her training for the role, so not sure how much training she had or whether the stunt coordinators did her dirty.

There was a Dazzler graphic novel around 40 years ago. In it, initially she couldn't store sound energy in her body, but in an accident on a movie set where she absorbed so much energy something inside her "broke" and she became able to store the energy for later use.

For me, I would love to see a younger Rogue. I know, I know, it’s too much like the original movies, but I don’t really care. I feel like you could really delve deep into her emotions and her transformation into the Rogue we know today. I want an emotionally unstable and intense and a person easily manipulated and easily controlled. I feel if an older teenager is casted, they could easily fill that role. I don’t really have a specific person in mind, but I feel like that could be a way to truly introduce her into the X Men after being with Mystique and the Brotherhood.

I always imagine Rogue as being a 16-19 year old which is definitely not the same age as Captain Marvel but I feel like a confident, brash, but also vulnerable and manipulated Rogue is what should be portrayed like you said. So pretty much a ‘typical’ teenager but on a more extreme level

I think Introduce her as the Asian Psylock(Elizabeth Braddock) Then as Excalibur starts to blossom in the movies start putting hints to her past. How she is the sister to Brian and Jamie Braddock. Kinda do the reverse of what your saying. In the new run of xmen comics by Hickman she is actually split back to Kwannon and Besty as two different people. So now you’ll have 2 bad ass bitches wrecking shit. Plus. ‘The Hand’ had a Hand in merging both Besty and Kwannon. And Boom now you got a link to Daredevil and Her. All the scripts are in the reading material. There should never be a shortage of content to put up on the screen. I respect where your coming from. Psylock is top 5 for me. It also helped I was reading these comics when I was ten and we all know how they drew Females in the 90s comics.

I have had a profoundly unhealthy crush on Psylocke since I was a young whippersnapper, so I was prepared to disagree like crazy with your casting choice. ...But God damn is Sonoya Mizuno a _spot-on_ choice! I didn't know who she was before now, but she is extremely close to the Psylocke that I always imagine when reading X-Men comics. I especially appreciate that you emphasized her more mercurial features and acting abilities. It's easy to forget that she is trained to be a ninja, or ninja-like in her ability to spy and infiltrate. Some of the other commentors' casting choices are good too, but I don't think they quite nail that quality like Sonoya does. And she's gobsmackingly stunningly gorgeous, so there's that too.

Wood is more the southern bell bad a#! that exemplifies Rogue and Fergusen has the more calm and composed demeanour while being a leadertype alongside Armie Hammers Cyclops. She could also easily slip into Phoenix mode should they decide to go that route

I think Bryan Seeker's choice for Evan Rachel Wood to be Jean Grey should be changed to Dazzler instead of Anna Marie considering she can sing and I can't help but feel she gives off a vibe that she can portray Alison Blaire well. As for Anna Marie, I think it would be interesting to see Elizabeth Gillies portray her. Finally, I don't know who to choose for Jean. At best, it might be a good idea to find an unknown actress who is young enough and can portray Jean's heart and strength.

I really like that you cast a Native American actor for a Native character in the comics. In all your fancasting, you pay attention to the ethnicity and history of each character and I appreciate that it's not just 'I want to see this person in the role' but 'this is the person I believe would be best in the role'. I've seen a lot of people just fancast their favorite actors for their favorite characters and call it good. Great choices as always, though I'm a little unsure about Rebecca Ferguson as Rogue. I know that in the 90's cartoon (and probably in most of the comics), she's portrayed as an adult member of the X-men and, maybe it's just the movies have gotten to me, but I always picture her as younger now, in the same age group as Bobby and Kitty. Rebecca Ferguson is great at playing tough action-movie characters though.

I love your choice for Dazzler; I grew up reading her comic and own the whole series. My only question is if the age is right for Angel, since he’s one of her more consistent love pairings in the comics. The other thing that’s important for Kitty is her chemistry with Wolverine. He’s a father figure for her as much as Piotr is her love match. (Don’t forget that she was paired with Nightcrawler at one point, too.) And speaking of Wolverine, his dynamic with Jubilee was the appropriate evolution for him as Kitty got older and didn’t need a father so much anymore. So it’s important that Jube’s casting works in a similar fashion.

Another exceptional job of casting! Rebecca Ferguson is PERFECT and your choice for Psylocke is excellent. Lily James would be great too but like Gleason in the 70's team, I don't see her signing on as a tertiary role (which Dazzler would be unless they gave her a solo movie). Instead of MCU movies, I'd love to see X-Men as a big budget TV series instead (like the other MCU Disney+ shows will apparently be). If they went that route, they could highlight individual characters (like Dazzler) much better. Anyway, great work!

I actually wouldn't mind if they split up the Xmen universe into three. 1. Xmen movies exploring major events 2. Individual characters crossing over into other movies. 3. Multiple Disney+ series exploring various groups like the younger students, Morlocks, Xfactor, Xforce etc.

I'm digging the fan casting of Alexandra Daddario as Rogue. She has down action scenes (San Andreas, Percy Jackson, Texas Chainsaw, even Baywatch), and she has the beauty factor of Rogue (She is supposed to be so beautiful, but untouchable). She'd be my pick.

Great work! Rogue VS Captain Marvel is a battle that must happen! I would definitely try an Avengers vs X-Men story to make it epic. But what AvX comic stories are viable? I would choose the 1987 4 issue mini-series, regarding the fate of Magneto who, at the time, was leader of the mutant team. I think time has shown us that the once in a time villain is more suited to become a reformed hero. This would had to happen during or after the 3rd X-Men MCU movie, where Magneto has been defeated as a major villain threat, using first the Genosha, later Asteroid-M and finally the 'Bloodlines' 5 part storyline on the 30th Aniversary of both teams. I think the whole Schism and Wolverine's X-Force storyline, taking Cyclops more to Magneto's radical agenda, could be the undertone of the MCU's X-Men.

I like your choices. I think the smart thing for Disney/Marvel to do is take note from the Mortal Kombat Legacy series when introducing new X-amen characters in episodic arcs to tell some of their complicated backstories like Psylocke for example. Once we have the background knowledge of these characters then they can transition to the big screen. Season one can focus on Xavier, Scott, Jean, Storm (?) and a few more and then season 2 can give us Rogue, Gambit, etc. setting up for that big team up movie.

Rogue should be the villain of Captain Marvel 2. They can use Rogue absorbing her powers to make her more vulnerable which will make her a lot more interesting.

In my opinion, based on Rebecca Ferguson's role and action sequences in the Mission Impossible franchise and her acting in Doctor Sleep that she's better in line to play Mystique rather than Rogue, her age would seem more fitting for Mystique and she can give a mysterious lethal woman and a fierce leader and partner as well. So I would've rather picked Ferguson for Mystique than Rogue. 😁😁

Sonoya Mizuno would be amazing as literally anyone in anything. She did a fantastic Job in Devs and I didn't realize in the moment that I had basically already seen all of her filmography up to that point by accident because she just disappears into any role she plays. Side Note: It would also be awesome to have Alex Garland get a chance to make something in the MCU with some personal flair. I would love to see a Marvel movie take on the thriller genre.

Thinking that they need to split Betsy Braddock and Kwannon as two separate characters to simplified her origins in the MCU. For the MCU Kwannon will be Psylocke and Betsy Braddock can appear in a Captain Britain movie if there ever is one. They are already doing this in the comics to make her a less completed character to work with. Tao Okamoto is an option if you're looking for a full Japanese actress with an ok resume. Sonoya is still a great pick.
