Hey Marybeth, stumbled on this after another video. Really stood out to me that the devil sows thoughts that we’re really not believers! So true and it costs us dearly when we believe it. Thanks for posting this!

Marybeth we choose to believe the devils words because we were never given this teaching either by parents, priests teachers. Fear fear fear util these lies become a part of you, this dtuff inside you can make life unbearable.

MaryBeth, I’m so desperate to hear from you about one nagging question that’s been on my mind since I first found you on your website. I want so much to believe everything you are saying, but I keep hearing a voice saying, “this kind of thinking is like The Secret or the Law of Attraction… this is the prosperity gospel and NOT Catholic in nature.” Help me to understand what is happening in my mind. What is this resistance in me? Maybe it’s from the Devil himself?!

So glad you reached out!! I have no clue what the secret is nor have I ever read anything about the law of attraction. I heard of them once from someone who said it is so popular! I have never really investigated it though. I am Catholic but I would call myself first a Christian. I have been Catholic my whole life. Born and raised but I never knew Jesus til I went through a life in the spirit seminar at st. Bartholomew church in Katy Texas in 1991. I had a life changing encounter with God a couple of years before for that where he called me to follow him and I screamed yes. God is awesome. He called me and gave me the ears that day to hear him and how could I not . I have simply been following him full time ever since. I was a leader in my church doing retreats and writing bible studies for over 15 years and even teaching high school CCE for over12 years . Just follow the Holy Spirit. Ask him. He will never lead you wrong.

Thank you for your reply MaryBeth. I guess I was also wondering where redemptive suffering falls in to place here. Like, are there not times when we just have to accept suffering and illness for some greater good? But I will definitely seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You may just see me in one of your Zoom calls very soon. 😊
