I remember when I was 11 years old, and I was playing this such great game. Old memories back to my mind by thinking of this game. Thank you Snes for all the awesome games.

I’m so about to have this on loop and listen to this and the light plane theme while I’m on the plane in a few days.
@MegaBubble Жыл бұрын
ahh, so when I saw your response initially, I started trying to make a longer loop of this and Light Plane, but I couldn't get the loop quite right :'( eventually I'll have a longer loop for you though :P hope you had/have a good time. enjoy your life! mine sucks and I hate working, and I feel aimless - at least this music is carefree and beautiful enough to help me on its own 😿 ok, I might be a little emo today LOL
@MegaBubble Жыл бұрын
for some reason I can't remember how I made this loop initially. maybe I can find the original files somewhere =3 a lot of SNES stuff I had to manually loop in Audacity bc I can't find any programs that loop the SPC files automatically

uploading an extended version of Hang Glider now 😎 Light Plane might take me a bit though; for some reason I have a tough time looping certain audio some of the time, and then sometimes I'm able to do it more easily :3 (like, mentally applying myself, I guess is what I meant) unfortunately I get worn out from work a lot, and my brain isn't 100% functional :P I think I need to take a light plane the heck away from work and go do something fun with life :( :P hopefully your flight went well ;3
@CoolBreeze1128 Жыл бұрын
Flight went well thanks for asking. I listened to this and light plane on my way there. Five hour flight there and three and a half hour flight coming back. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’ll get out of the funk you’re in and you will enjoy your life! We got to deal with the crappy stuff before we can get to the good stuff. Everything will be okay for you I can feel it! Chin up!

MegaBubble! Yeah me too, now while this tune is absolutely beautyful, it’s shocking how nintendo decv’s only did had 15 month’s to complete 3 games , but despites the limited time they had , they were just able to create such beautyful music with plessure along with all the limitations they had to deal with it. No one could ever top nintendo.

@@johneygd I think Japanese video game composers were always super-talented - Nintendo, and third parties who released stuff for the NES/SNES etc. it was a special time, since it was a little bit before realistic instrument sounds, so it leaves you with a really unique sound (from the Super Nintendo/Famicom hardware) I appreciate modern day video game music with real orchestras and instruments and such, but I enjoy earlier VGM the best, I think bc it's very unique to the time period - an immutable, static pre-supercomputer intelligence era in time, which will never quite be replicated :3

Hang Glider was the most difficult one for me; I was intuitively able to figure out all the other modes, but I could barely land straight with the glider =3

I’ve got a funny story about this track: I remember playing Pilotwings with the Game Genie code for infinite time (meaning it always stayed at 0;00). However, if you use this Game Genie code with the hang-glider missions, the plane will NOT release you and you’ll get an “Out of Course” fail because the plane drags you all the way out there. 😆

What I would give for Soyo Oka to return to Nintendo to compose just one more game. I never even played Pilotwings or SimCity as a child, but those soundtracks are so good that they hit me with nostalgia anyway. I think it's because they sound a little...Earthbound-ish.
