Receiver Architectures - Radio Design 101 Final Epilogue

In this final episode, we complete our study of receiver hardware design by looking at block diagrams and schematics of various receiver architectures developed over the years and at Q-enhanced filters - a modern technique built on regenerative receiver technology. The main problems and solutions for dealing with strong signals in crowded frequency spectrums are discussed and illustrated with real-world commercial radios, including the new ATS25 DSP Software Defined Radio (SDR).

Can a tunable strong bandpass analog filter be built, so that the filtering will always be conncentrated at the station we are trying to receive as the station frequency changes? OOPS! Just as a mention, I designed super regenerative receiver for automotive vehicles. These designs were used for Remote keyless entry from the 90s to early 2000, then the designs were switched to superhets. Really liked the videos.

About serial months ago I started my exciting journey in RF, with your video... now I end up with building my own tayloe mixer - si5351 based SDR (3Mhz-80Mhz). IQ demod works like a charm. And it really simplifies high freq circuit design since most of the circuit works at low freq/baseband. Thanks again for this great video series and it really get me into this new world.
