I love that you’re done with self destruct tbr. And I have the sitcom star on ebook and am looking forward to getting to both of them.

🍛I've been listening Ruby Dixon's fireblood dragon series on audible. I'm on book 3 and I'm not loving it. I enjoyed the first book because it was a fresh series and the second left me intrigued enough to start the third. I found myself skipping over the romance scenes save the first one because they serve no purpose. I wish these books were single perspective. I hate being inside all the male dragon's head. The heros aren't that disimilar from each other and they have nothing going on outside of their mates and are extremely clingy, irrational and codependent. Maybe I just hate the touch her and die/feral man trope. I'm holding on because of the plot with Azar. He's the villain and I am 1000 times more interested in him as a character. Once I finish this book I'm going to take a break and then come back and read book 7 (female dragon/human male) and book 10 (Azar's book). I doubt I'll read the rest. Ruby is a comfort author to me and I've enjoyed over a dozen other books by her. I think this series is a miss though. I also borrowed Xeni's audiobook from Libby and they have a stuffy elderly posh sounding guy narrating it. The character is a Black American woman in her 30s and I can't help picturing Michael Caine. I don't know why they chose him as a narrator, but my mind keeps drifting off. I'm going to return it and wait for the ebook.

How weird that there's a male narrator for Xeni! I read the ebook way back when, but yeah< i would totally not want to listen to a male narrator for that book. 😂
