the optimism of youth really brings a tear to my jaded eyes.. too many people would listen to her and go "aww yeah she's right" and then turn around and vote for corporate tax breaks, a nitro-fueled military hankering for war, and stripping rights away from people. i hope we can turn this ship around for them before they're left with a busted burned planet and fascist state.

It really goes to show the importantance that factually accurate media plays in the role of child development. Every kid knew George Washington as the first President, and about Egypt from tv shows and cartoons. We should be looking at more ways to teach history to kids via TV shows and movies.

It kind of shows how every day you make and experience history. Kids have a view of the world that is smaller than it actually is, but sometimes it’s good because we ourselves don’t occupy the entire world, just a small part of it. And we really do make a difference in that.
