This dough makes excellent idlis too. Yesterday I ground this dough to be used for dinner. I found it had fermented so well and was so light. So thought Instead of dosa l would try to make idlis with this. And the idlis came out very soft and this morning we ate the leftover idlis and my, it was very nice. With the remaining dough I shall pour dosas for tonight's dinner and let you know how it came out. I am a senior citizen but this is the first time I have used an idli dough with aval in it. This is a good recipe for using less urad and still get very soft idlis. Thank you.
