@michaeltaylors24563 жыл бұрын
It’s not Florida, it just that Florida has by far the most boats per capita and the generally more fair operating conditions. Lots of easy credit, lots of wealth and some ill gotten gains too😜 therefore too much boat then ends in the hands of those with little to no experience and or education. our culture in general says I’m gonna do whatever the hell I want to. I see that everywhere. Assholes on Erie and Tahoe too
@TheMrLebaron3 жыл бұрын
To be fair, that 22' Bayliner needed to get up on plane way faster than the boat he passed. Otherwise it was gonna be a bad ride. Those Trophys are awesome boats for the money, but with how short they are at Boca you need to start hauling ass pretty quickly, otherwise your gonna stuff the bow pretty hard. Its not a Key West, its a Bayliner, their offshore haul isnt nearly as good.

@NeverEnoughPyro403 жыл бұрын
Usually the Coast Guard will not bother you if you are overloaded as long as you have enough PFDs for every person on board! If you do not have enough PFDs get ready for them to go over your entire boat with a fine tooth comb and write you for every single thing not up to code! How do I know, I was overloaded by two people one year while watching the Fourth of July fireworks display! Every year the United States Coast Guard auxiliary does courtesy inspections at the boat ramp at my marina, So I always have a sticker showing everything on my boat is up-to-date and in compliance! So on that one Fourth of July they approached my boat and saw I had recently been inspected and only required me to show PFDs for every person on board! I showed them all of my PFDs they said thank you and have a good night! And for all of the people who do not know, Please remove all of your PFD‘s from the plastic bags they were sold in and make sure they are all readily available! Do not have them stuffed away in the cabin somewhere!
@NeverEnoughPyro403 жыл бұрын
Actually that boat was not way overloaded, Stop exaggerating and educate yourself! Is that boat is 30 feet long and has a width of 8 1/2 feet that would mean the maximum capacity is 17 people! Why would you assume that there is not enough life jacket on board? My boat has a capacity of 12 and I keep 16 life jacket on board, Just in case another boat needs help! You would be surprised what people keep on their boats! I have two extra anchors besides the one on my pulpit, 300 feet of high strength Rope, A trauma bag, And every single tool required for me to disassemble fix or repair anything on my entire 23 foot cuddy walk around with a 4.3L sterndrive! I just saw your user name, What year is your Saleen? I have a 93 Cobra that I bought new and a 92 LX Convertible! Both are supercharged! If you Google Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords “ The bold and the beautiful” That article features a girl with a 98 Cobra and 2 Saleen’s! That's Haul Over Inlet is it not? It often has contrary seas. Boaters go fast in order to prevent the craft from porpoising. Sadly it doesn't always work so well. I'm sure everyone there is calm, knowledgeable, and courteous to other boaters......but it looks like a shitshow?

Reckless Boating? This is nothing more then click bait as most of the boaters , jet skiers, were actually quite accomplished. Why shame them?

How would you called that passing move? Wise decision? Of course it's a click bait, but it doesn't mean the entire content is about reckless boating.

@@boat_life GTFO Of My Way? Come on…. That’s vulgar, yea, over loaded boats? Yep. But it puts a bad light on the majority of the boaters in that clip. Tell it like it is, sensationalism where it’s not deserved.

Letting your hull get as filthy as the first boat is trashy AF

They may hasn't been using the boat for a while, and they thought they will clean it after the run. That's what I would do. The boat probably been stored on water in one of the intercostal pockets, it doesn't take long for the boat to look like that.

@@boat_life I let my tritoon sit a long time last summer, it got pretty gross. Just sold it and moved to Florida. So its center console time! I wont be letting the Key West I want get dirty
