The vibrancy of these colors hit me first. You utilize color combinations that one wouldn’t ordinarily use together but they work so harmoniously, it’s perfect! Love love your painting. The colors have such a sweet resonance. The pretty pink cells and the intensity of the yellow juxtaposed against the golden center, create such a reckless, carefree profound image that feels not only organic but spiritual in the flight of movement you created. Sara, this literally made me cry. Your art must at times make you feel so vulnerable, the fluidity, the chemistry, it takes so much work to get it right and trust in yourself too. This piece shows the strength in that vulnerability. The song Reckless by The Eastern Plain is one of my all time favourite songs. Since my diagnosis, my husband and I have had so many struggles. This song always makes me think of our relationship. Hearing it alongside the beauty of your art just broke me. I’m a sucker for beautiful art and beautiful words. I hope you’re ok. The way you got these colors to play together in this application is stunning! The cells have like 4 or 5 colors in them! When I look at this, I feel something special, ancient and organic. Like finding a gold view in the middle of a Mayan archeological site. Well done, Sara!

The multi colored basecoat and the added bloom paints made this piece so rich! It's quite stunning, Sara! Every time I watch you create these beautiful and unique paintings, it makes me want to drop everything and do a pearl pour with your color pallet. What I love about your particular style is that your paintings could literally go with any decor. They are modern yet very classy... earthy, yet elegant! I love all different kinds of art, but you definitely can not say that every expression can go with any decor. It's just one of the things that make your work so appealing! What a lovely painting!! Do you have the same koncistency on your colors as the base coats? Only satin enamel in base coat, or do you have it in the colors to? And no silicon anywhere, I guess... or...?

Correct, the paints are all the same consistency, I’m not using any silicone oil. It’s an effect achieved by using a very thin basecoat with satin enamel in it. I have a really great paint Mixing video that might help answer some questions. Hi Sara from Australia! I’m so inspired by you work & your ability to be a wonderful communicator. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for a substitute for Deco Art satin enamel as Behr 7300 is not available in Australia?

Great question, I wish this beautiful and tinted enamel base was available in more areas. The deco art sat in ammo does work well, however, I veer away from it because it gets quite grainy. You may try Deluxe Diamond ceiling paint, I know it works well. I think experimenting with different enamel base, chalk, and milk paint you have accessible is a great place to start.
