***** I was definitely brought up with the right kind of music. I felt oh so alone until the internet showed me that there is still a niche for this stuff out there. I learned about the history of my Denver, Colorado and it has its fair share of talented acts and a Rockabilly routine. Unfortunately, the Portland and California influence on it has brought more hipster type parades and such. When they legalized reefer here, rap, hip hop, shoegaze, and a lot of other cliques became even more prevalent as well. Luckily for me, car shows will never die out in Colorado. Kustom Kulture is in my genetics and the Rockie Mounts thrive on that stuff. I'm still quite a minority because my style is still considered a costume than an actual subculture except for old cats over the age of 40. You'd think that with the Western Wear Store Rockmount Ranch Wear practically inventing modern western attire, it would still be a thing here.
