This is a straight up infomercial. "ARe you telling me I can emulate classic MPC sounds on the Maschine?" "Yes, but that's not all!"

one of the all time greats.rarely given the credit hes due.cats dont even know how many of their fav joints were produced by DR.he was at the forefront of the most rugged new york shit coming out in the 90s.the work he did on "once upon a time in america" ALONE should cement him as one of the greatest producers of all time .and the thing bout DR joints is....they never fuckin get old.been bangin em for 25 years and its still fresh as fuck

Keep those Reclaiming the Remixes coming Dubspot , they inspire me to keep pounding my pads .
@peanut51610 жыл бұрын
I love the way this guy reacted to the Maschine. You can just tell he was filling those pads by the way he plays them. I can't wait to see more if these producers react to the Maschine Studio and 2.0 because it's even more impressive. MPC does it's thing, but Maschine is like a whole new futuristic world.

Seeing the reaction of someone with so much experience being at the forefront for so many years really says a lot. Maschine exceeded all the gear he used before, crazy.

I take back some of the harsh things I said yesterday. I guess it was coming from watching the DJ Sasha video on this channel right before this one. Sasha, who has been producing since 1991 was on Dubspot saying how he uses an engineer and struggles in the studio sometimes. Then this. The bragging and name-dropping. I guess Hip Hop is a different world.

I actually sat down with Teddy Riley in the studio, with Diddy in the studio, with The Ummah, in the studio,DR/ Period, Bob Powers in the studio, I could go on, and yes I was working, mixing, remixing, producing, recording, learning, oh yeah and getting paid . So one of many things I did learn is how to produce a record!!! not a beat!! anybody can make a beat, especially now a days!! But not just anyone can make records that are just dope!! Produced the artist, get the right engineers,

is a producer and they all got something to say now!!! Learn your craft, go get your music placed, learn the business of music ( not the music business ). In my martial arts classes we say you have to earn the right to apply your jitsu! No one is just gonna give you their hand or arm to apply joint manipulation or a lock. So go earn your right as a producer before you hate on a individual who helped pave the way for folks to do this damn thing called hip hop!!

Yes I agree the industry has been stale etc... but that ain't new. So do your part creatively to help , don' just talk crap like you got it on smash!! and your publishing checks, credits, musical expertise reads like Quincy Jones. in the words of Dr.Moses Powell (Founder of Sanuce Ryu ) Each One Teach One!! Peace, Love and HipSoul.

deal with the studios, the musicians, song writers etc.. and if you also have the chops to actually play the machine, or keyboards, guitars, yes and turntables, then wow!! So folks need to get the full picture of what it is they are talking about. my dude Rashad Smith ( Tumblin Dice ) google him , countless hits!!! still working on his grind but these new cats out here with their little programs don't know what this is really about. JDilla ( R.I.P. )

disable comments next time you get a big-shot on. the one place you will find haters who talk about stuff they know nothing about is in the comments section of youtube. myself included. I was all open-minded until I saw the clip of his music video and I was like "I hate this guy already and I don't even know who he is" LOL Otherwise you did a great job on the vid. Your work is great. presentation style too. No problem there.

Dilla had many hits, he sampled everything he could and made it beautiful or turned what was already beautiful into another form of beauty ( Hip Hop ). He engineered his sound before who ever mixed it in the major studios, he had no damn plug ins, with presets, etc... all by ear!! Now that you can get music software for cheap or free is you illegally download it, the music is produced cheap, stale, generic. Everybody that can cut , copy, paste and work the hell out of a qwerty keyboard

Well everyone has their right to their opinion, but do the research first , Dude mixes most of all his records. That one in particular. Also I use to be the same way about Puffy, etc.. when i was trying to get meetings to sell tracks. I had all of this stuff to say who is and who is not a producer, but had no placements, no success at it, just my opinion, but I was broke and to me I was the hottest thing un heard of.

just like 90-percent of the big-time hip-hop producers out there. talks a good game but the rest of his career is all about taking the credit for other people's hard work. This guy does not talk like a producer who knows anything about the technical side. ok he can make a beat on an MPC, but who can't? The guy who MIXED the Ante Up track should be on here because that's where the magic is. Not in chopping a beat.

man i respect you and all the oldschool techniques but you cant throw an entire group of producers under the bus like that. if he had plugins he would have used them. now the producers are the artists and not just a name on a record for producing the beat.. love the videos. just sayin
