That girl falling is just mesmerizing, it would be so cool if you did like a final final of her, with color. or maybe it doesn't even need color. I really need to sketch more... I used to all the time, but now I get caught up with work and all that other boring grown up stuff. I will set myself a goal to do at least one sketch a day! :)

YEAH!!! Doing the daily doodle has really helped me. I haven't been very good about uploading lately, but having that goal is a great way to kick yourself into gear. Especially when you take the pressure off and let it be "crappy" or "quick" and "imperfect". I feel like sometimes the pressure to make something that is great looking is one of the biggest reasons I DON'T draw.

Yea, seem to go through phases. I will draw for 6 months and then stop for a year. Plus I have been trying watercolor lately. ***** as always great drawings and I enjoy your commentary.

Obviously, these aren't all the pages. Sometimes writing creep onto the page (which I am WAAAAY more self conscious about!) there's also phone numbers and personal info that I collect when I meet people and no one has a business card.

Maybe you could write your signature on a piece of paper then do a "What will I draw?" with it! Incorporate your signature into a drawing, pretty much :)

Lol I love the sounds humans make, the sound you made when you described the guy running, excellent human sound. Its like bird calls in a way. We all make these little sounds that are indescribable but transfer ideas and emotions at times and I love listening for them.

I love looking at my old sketchbooks. Some I would skip around the pages. Not drawing from front to back. So some have empty pages I like to put new stuff in. Makes it like a lifelong Sketchbook. Thanks for Sharing you do Amazing work.

I love how you show the transformation of a sketch to a final product. I used to struggle with the idea of sketches JUST being sketches. Like I felt if I were to draw something then it would have to be good and if it were good then it shouldn't be in a book; as if it should be a little more exposed (like in a portfolio or something). But I'm slowly accepting sketches as a way to gather ideas, a way of planning and testing before creating the final result. I have two videos of my drawings on my channel if anyone wants to chek em out :)

I drew a picture of a girl falling too! Only she was falling backwards and had broken glass around her like she'd just fallen out a window. And whenever anyone sees it they ask me if I'm depressed and I always respond, "No, I just like art."

Thanks for sharing your awesome sketchbook. I am rediscovering my passion for drawing, and was wandering what to put in my sketchbook, and of all the books I have seen today here on the KZbin, yours was the most inspiring, special because it showed ideas and sketches fore paintings, where a lot of the other sketchbooks, seemed to be full of drawings one drawing a page, and a lot of them looked finish or almost finish.

Mrs.Mary you are such an inspiration to me. Im a realsim artist and I used to feel that realsim was more superior than cartoons. I felt like it required more talent. But when Im at school and I see other peoples sketches and their cartoons Im just like wow. I want to make my own characters. Making cartoons is truly a talent. Just like theres bad realsim there are bad AND good cartoons. Wow. I want my own cartoon style. Im sorta a perfectionist so I want to skip the days when your art needs to improve ^^ but i have to explore my creativity which may require mistakes but it was funny how you described the little boy that he moved a lot :D thank you for this video!! X) Im not sure whether I want a sketchbook with white oaper or tan paper. If i dont color on tan paper I feel like its a waste. Idk it just feels good to color on it. well, goodbye :)

I've started doing a small purposely bad drawing on the first pages of my sketch books with the accompanying words "Nothing good ever happens on the first page." Obviously this isn't true for everyone. Oh and the giant worm is amazing!
