Its only a simulation, not real! Real CPR would have been a much harder of a press. How they got the AED to do the shock is they have equipment that can be hooked to the AED to test it! They didn't really give the kid a shock! There would have been a lot more chaos too if it was real! Kids arn't that calm usually. So i totally suspect it was a simulation!
@TomF182 жыл бұрын
I appreciate you bringing awareness for the need of CPR training. Just please check for breathing and a pulse first. You can take up to 10 seconds for this. Also, please use a dummy next time to show proper, aggressive compressions, instead of just ‘jiggling’ the chest. The needed 2 inch push for teens & adults is a deep compression. Keep your elbows locked, letting your shoulders & body weight do the work. Fast is also necessary, but not that fast; you have to allow the rib cage to fully recoil in between compressions. For you older folks, compress to the beat of ‘Stayin’ Alive’. For you younger ones, use ‘Uptown Funk’. If help is available, switch CPR providers about every 2 minutes, with minimal interruption in compressions, to avoid fatigue. You can also cut the shirt around the provider’s hands to avoid interruption. Make sure the chest isn’t too sweaty. And finally, remember that the red-marked AED pad goes on the left side of the patient’s chest, not like in the video.

Exactly its only a simulation!! Real CPR would have hurt that kid badly! There would have been to much pain involved in trying to fake real CPR!
@TomF187 ай бұрын
@@tamalodg196 Of course, but the problem with simulation videos is that untrained people think that’s how compressions should look. They should’ve switched over to using a dummy.

Love the CPR and AED awareness. Definitely, need to show them checking for a pulse and breathing. You don't want people attempting CPR on someone who just feinted. Also when you say 100 times per minute, you should show the coach actually doing 100 times per minute, and not the 200 he was actually doing. All in all good video, just missing some key things.

@@jkbubbly No. You need to tilt the head back and lift the chin to clear the airway, and then check and make sure the person isn't breathing before you begin compressions. They may not even need compressions if they are still breathing, and you risk breaking their ribs unnecessarily if they are. An unconscious breathing person goes in the recovery position. CPR stands for "cardio-pulmonary ressusiation". It is what you are supposed to do if someone collapses and is not breathing. Anyone can learn to do it and it is extremely important. What happens is that the person's heart cannot pump blood around their body and therefore, their brain and organs will begin to die off. By compressing their chest, you are essentially keeping their heart beating for them until help arrives.

Uh AVPU scale? GCS? Pulse check? Agonal breathing or no breathing at all! Jeez! Guys if you suspect a MI of cardiac arrest first check conciousness say can you hear me shake shoulders gently that's to check their GCS if they do not respond then it's a 3 if they do then it's a 15, then check breathing if they are start CPR 30:2 , make sure you call 999/111/911/000 first, then when one person is doing CPR then get someone to get a defibrillator, breaths are good to use but you do not have to but it is helpful

For everyone saying to check for a pulse, most CPR training classes are removing that from the requirements for CPR because of the difficulty in checking pulse in favor of checking for signs of breathing instead. However, if you are watching this video, while this is great for basic Hand Only CPR, I highly recommend taking a CPR/AED training class to get the extra experience necessary to save a life.
@AaronNickolas74 жыл бұрын
It is not difficult at all to check for a pulse. A 5-year-old kid can do it! The neck is the easiest place to find one. Stop teaching people to check the wrist, that is the hardest place to find it, I can't even do that. But, if you are getting an AED involved, you most definitely NEED to check for a pulse, if they do have a heartbeat, the AED will stop it. It'll kill the kid.
