Warranty though recoil has always been good i was a dealer last 18 months. I injured my left hand and had stop doing installs. . But im suprised big d not been on this brand sooner with the involvement of larry Fredericks (rip) your interview with him years ago was great then the opportunity i had to have a conversation with that man later was amazing. and Larry Vansickle . I’m now running one of these and a DI1200.4 in my Navigator on a pair of Pro Echo 10s and CDT wideband 2way combo. Holy. Shit. This combo is a winner. Blurred vision and you can literally hear it from a mile away. Total spent -$980 for a sick ass system.

I will take the Recoil 2500.1 for $179 over the JP23v1.5 for $299. I like the plexiglass bottom and voltmeter remote but i don't need for $120 extra. Strapping the amp is a nice feature but i see multiple amp builds where the amps are not strapped. 2 none strapped Red 2500.1 for $380 👍

Another great informative video. I would change how people use the words cheap and affordable. They mean two different things to me. BOSS is cheap as Skar, Recoil seem to be affordable. The difference is affordable makes it ratings and can keep up with the more expensive brands while saving you money, not the same for cheap. With this said, once again you did an amazing job my friend.

I think the moment I figured it out was when my skar 4 channel amp failed and not only died itself but also killed my headunit and sub amp. The 4 channel skar did not feel cheap or affordable after that.

Its great that these amps are priced where they should be. Super old tried and true off patent Korean designed class D circuits that are made in china is what is pretty much in all of these big mono amps. The only differentiator is the case/branding. Great review, looks like a great value.

🤣, I say the same thing all the time, my Memphis Bell was $1200, 1200 watts. Dollar a watt 🤦‍♂️ kids don't understand how good they got it. Just one of my Crossfire 16k's would be up to $22,000, clamped 22,000 watts out of one at 16v wired to .5ohm rising to 1ohm. Point is it's affordable to put a lil bump in the trunk these days 🤙

I bought the Recoil 0 gauge big 3 OFC wiring kit and it's high quality. But I was debating between this one and the Stinger MT2000.1. I was going to go with the recoil because it had a clip light. But I went with the Stinger and I couldn't be happier. That Amp is a beast!! Bar none! Still waiting for someone to throw it on a dyno. My birth sheet says 2057 watts @1ohm.

I bought this amp in March $205.66 shipped after watching this video. My Sundown SCV-1500D died and didnt want to spend that kind of money on a new amp. 7 months later still slamming a Sundown X12V2 without a hiccup. Tho the gain isnt set really high due to voltage output of my factory alternator and battery to keep it just under clipping it slams way harder than my SCV-1500D did. I'd recommend for a solid entry level system that's not chasing DB numbers

Sure I'm sure some may say but it didn't make its rated power, it didn't do this, or that. BUT as you stated it is a Korean half bridge copy and on top of that it held up going below 1 ohm on the the dyno... Props for any budget amp that can handle .67 ohms on dyno without going into protect! If Recoil stays in business they just may end up being a very competitive car audio brand. What they should focus on next is designing a better layout for their website... Just my .02.

They’re here to stay. I bought 3 recoil amps. 2 1200.4’ and just recently ordered this one. Tight budget so it took me almost 3 months to get them. So, really, the main knock on this amp is its kind of low budget circuitry. OK, you should not be using budget amps for anything but a budget build anyway. So for someone like me, who just wants a really loud bass system in my old beater commuter car (a 2002 Subaru Outback), this amp looks like a winner. I screw it into the rear deck where the spare tire used to be, plop in a pre-made 10 inch subwoofer (like the Skar SK10TBV for less than 200 bucks), wire it up, and I'm ready to rock the house! Well, kind of ready...

The internals look very similar to the Wolfram audio C2400.1 - I think the biggest difference is the Wolfram had 6 of the large black caps in the middle, and only 4 here. But other than that, its very similar!

The D4S amp removed the speaker protection relays. It’s a trade off. Less series resistance and possible reliability issues traded for zero protection if the output transistors go short circuit to rail voltage.

Now I'm even more confused on which bass amp to go with 😄. It's between DR Double Rock 2000.1, Stinger MT2000.1, CT Sounds CT 2000.1D, Down4sound JP23 and now Recoil RED2500.1. I'm leaning towards the JP23 V2 or Stinger MT2000.1 (expensive vs budget). I think the JP23 is of better quality between all the choices. Will be happy to hear people's suggestions on which amp you'd go with and if you recommend anything else over the mentioned options. Thanks in advance 👍

Depends on the speakers rms power ratings and the subs rms and ohm load you definitely don't want too fry the speakers when running a big Amp with more power then their capable of handling

You'll be good with anyone of your choices. What it comes down to is your budget, how much can I afford. Yes, there is some quality differences maybe , but If you can swing the few extra $$ go with JP down4sound, or CT Sounds. You might want to check out Skar 2k amps. I've run Skar, JP, and CT sounds without any issues they all performed as they should. As other(s) have mentioned make sure you have the proper electrical and your subs can handle the power of a 2k rms amp. Good luck.

I've been pounding on 6 of the jp23v2 since they came out....flawless and great power, not a single problem with a one of em running them .8 ohm street beating at 13.2v. Agm batteries and dual 320 alts. Very efficient for their power

In the works for a new amp my crossfire 1k class d the old old school one silver with blue and red on the strip is nice but a 20 year old amp can’t do what these new ones do but 2 of those would be nice on each of my audio pipe 4 stacks
