I love both models, but I opted for the GHM9-SD in FDE (RBS can) with the coyote B&T lower. Even though it's essentially an elongated block, it looks very unique compared to the other SMG PCC's on the market.

I have an APC45 and it’s my favorite gun that I own or have fired. Even when I took a brand new mp5 clone to the range I found that myself and everyone else spent more time with the APC45 and that says a lot when you waited a year to get the mp5. If I could say one thing about apc9 vs ghm9 would be if you can afford the apc9 even if it might take a bit longer to get the cash together it’s worth it. I bought my APC45 on layaway so I could buy a suppressor for it and receive them both at the same time.

Mike Shafer can’t go wrong with either. I really like the mp5 it was a good shooter. But if I was thinking about serious use where ergonomics could be a factor of life or death then I would take the B&T it is faster to manipulate reloads and clear malfunctions. But I probably would use my rifle if it was down to that kind of use. You can get good with reloading an mp5 I can do it fine and it shoots softer than my B&T but the B&T feels more refined and smooth if that helps. It is a hard choice that’s why I have both platforms I would have the sp5 if it was out when I made the purchase buy the zenith is good enough for me

I own original Gen 1 models of both, the APC9 and the GHM9. They are both a pleasure to shoot and I can feel little difference in the experience. Favorite firearms ever.

@@jasonisfamous6544 that is up to you but I can tell you they both shoot just as nicely as each other. I bought my APC9 first because it was what I wanted. Then, I bought the GHM9 and after shooting it I felt like if I had to get rid of one I wouldn’t feel cheated if the GHM9 was all I could afford. The APC9 is really the flag ship of their 9mm sub guns and the GHM9 was to give shooters a B&T experience at a better price point. They BOTH rock. I suppress mine and they both rock there as well.

WTF is Tim Nickler saying around ~2:15-2:00 about the stock end caps having some spanned wrench insert that can be removed to take an AR stock? I sure as hell don’t see this with my GHM9 Gen2! If this is some feature, it damn well should be in the manual. I shouldn’t have to find out from a 3rd party video.

Exactly my question! I was googling to find more info and ran across a 3rd party end cap replacement by Modern Warriors to allow an M4 brace/stock tube. But this guy's the head of B&T USA and says the end cap already allows for an M4 tube?!?

It is still reciprocating. You can buy the folding charging handle as an accessory from B&T though. Also the jet funnel from the APC fits on the GHM.

The gen 2 GHM9 charging handle is non-reciprocating, also it is easily swappable to either side and you can buy a foldable charging handle for it as well.

Yup, Iain is awesome the other guy, not so much. He was soooooo boring, I almost fell asleep. Why not be honest and let everyone know that the GHM9 is really called the "Grasshopper Mouse", which is a carnivorous rodent that howls like a wolf to let everyone know where its territory is located. The Mouse eats poisonous centipedes and most importantly "Scorpions" and it is immune from their venomous sting as well. (They live in AZ right where Iain calls home) B&T even has an "Easter Egg" with a little cartoon on the bottom of the receiver that you see when disassembled. Swiss quality at a bargain price, in relative terms. Maybe B&T should hire me, LOL. The US Army announced May 29, 2019 that B&T was selected and adopted by them to replace the MP5 in Army service. Kind of a BIG DEAL!!!!! Why no mention???? Why no trigger time on the MP9 or the TP9 version??? If you're making the trip to CH, at least shoot everything they have.

Sold my GHM9 after multiple failures every.. single... magazine. They don't give the mags away either. Crappy/expensive magazines with soft and fast wearing feed lips. If I was to buy another B&T it would have to be the APC9 with glock mags. Gun shoots amazing, and it's very accurate, but I can't tolerate an unreliable gun.

I ended up selling my B&T APC9K Pro. I have an MPX SBRd, CMMG Banshee, and picked up an SP5 when they hit the market a few months ago. The APC just didn't do a lot more (if anything) than the subguns I already had. The Banshee with it's delayed roller blowback, to me, is a softer shooter and has AR controls. The SP5 I just had to have and glad I bought it. B&T are great guns but I think they are a little overpriced and there are better options out there.

The B&T was nothing more than an overpriced blowback 9mm subgun with somewhat odd controls. Like I said, I’d rather have my MPX (with AR controls), my Banshee (delayed roller blowback with AR controls) and a nostalgic gun like the SP5 with the slap and sell the redundant overpriced B&T. If you can’t understand that then you’ve never owned enough 9mm subguns to know better. Have a nice day!
