Firstly, I love this video series! Second, and most importantly, break out the Viking mead you have stashed away and take a long swig every time Mark says “myriad” and see if you don’t end up shit faced. 😂 😂😊🍯🍯🍻🍻

That was lots of fun to watch, great info, that Hive tool at 5:37 is an "Australian Hive Tool" at 5:10 that is an extra long Hive Tool from south Australia - and that is the best damn tool I have used and currently use. The ventilated 3 layer suit is a game changer, and a must. Cow leather gloves for the nasty bees, But you forgot the smoker Mark and John?? LMAO, Queen Excluders, Plastic lasts for about a season before they start to give me issues. The info re cutting out the corners of the plastic foundation I will have to try - Cheers for that! Great Video, Love the fun! Cheers for Sharing! Stay Safe!

Mark I think you live a bit away from where I am in SA (Whyalla here), so I'm wondering where would be the best place to purchase the beehive with a super on top along with the suit, gloves, protective hat etc. We're going over to KI in the next couple of weeks (November) and will be visiting one of the beekeepers over there so I know what I'm going to be in for. I just want to get everything ready for when I get back home so I can start my own little bee home in my back yard. I know it's going to take some time before we get any honey from them but that's ok, it's all about building up the bees in Australia so we can look forward to having fresh fruits and vegetables as well as smelling the flowers we have here in this wonderful country of ours. Mybe like you, i'm growing into a greenie, but you only turn 60 once and this is my gift that I've asked for, so any help would be appreciated! Ally

i am just going to have to live vicariously through your channel (which i truly really enjoy!), but i am fascinated by bees :) even after getting one caught in my long hair as a child ... not fun for me or the little lady 🙄

Thymol… would you happen to know what commercial Beekeper use? the amount of thymol in 1.5-1 syrup in 55 ga drum. Fall feeding and trying to clear up brood issues. I think I saw a article that the European 🐝 keepers put a couple table spoons 🥄 in a drum but the article was from 1920s
