I understand how we all fall short from time to time. For me, I wake up praying, read the Bible, script, drink water before anything else..My skin care and makeup routines are simple but I do them even if I'm depressed or downtrodden after checking what's going on in our country and the world. Even if I don't go out, I still put on some type of makeup and I always do some exercise. No matter how bad I feel, I always find gratitude and love in my heart. Bless us all in this life! We need our support systems, even if only on tube! Thank you for all u do!

You are definitely not the only one with this issue. It's so funny how through KZbin and hearing people talk about different experiences, that we are all more alike than we realize. When I retired, I floundered a bit. Not having to do anything at a particular time I did nothing and fell away from my routines. But like you I had to force myself to become more disciplined. Thank you for sharing.

I really appreciate videos like this. I struggle with routines and often convince myself I don’t have time for my ZIIP or I forget the red light before I put serums on. I’m trying to write things down and am having marginal success. Somehow, there is comfort in knowing I’m not alone in figuring it out.

Holy cow! Aha moment! Me, too! I just relocated to NYC and had a bunch of treatments done at a MedSpa. Got lazy. Didn't want to mess with the results. Over time, noticed my eyelids were drooping almost to my upper lip and have been really down about it. Used my micro current while watching this video. OMG! I look much better, xox and thanks again. I'm going to put your name in my gratitude journal today,

I feel inspired by your makeup journey - I also did not wear makeup ford a long time - when I had an office job, I just wore makeup to be functionally put together, but not for enjoyment - and then I just stopped - but now I’m interested in pretty makeup and experimenting and feeling artfully inspired; now in my 50’s - but sometimes I think “why bother, no one sees me” or “I’m too old for it to matter much”… but it does matters and it is fun to me and I like how it looks - it’s “me” time to do art, how I see it - self care and art; also a bit meditative for me - that’s got to count for something - I used to also feel guilty about makeup when I was young, like I was being superficial - such a shame I wasted that fun time really - but change happens today and now and every day is a new and fresh opportunity - the past doesn’t matter if I did something or not and let things slide - every new day can be the start and counts more than anything in the past

Thank you - this is exactly what I needed to hear. Since the holidays - yeah, that long ago! - I've slacked off on my eating program (and gained 7 lbs). I quit walking because the weather turned cold, and the stationary bike was a bore. I just got back to my red light routine (gosh, I didn't realize how much I'd missed it!) but my Ziip is still collecting dust and I feel guilty every time I see it laying around. I won't go out without make up, so I've been staying home more often. It's a bad trend... I need to buck up, buttercup! and get back to basics. Again, thanks for sharing - it's nice to know I'm not the only one slacking, with the gentle reminder that I know exactly what to do and how to do it! 💖 PS - love the subtle eye shimmer!

I really do understand what you mean… for me it’s the ZIIP I have fell off the wagon. I’m continuing my am and pm skin care but life has been really stressful lately. So the walking has been something I look forward to if a nice weather day is here ( not often enough in the northeast). I’ve also introduced a sauna blanket which I’ve been doing about twice a week for past month. It really has helped my stress levels. I also do the red light about 3X a week. That has dipped to 2x but I really feel good doing that too. So you saying out loud may help me get the ZIIP out. So thank you!

Hi Kiki! Like you, learning about and using skincare & makeup has been a much loved ritual for me too! I love learning about different gadgets and products for my skin, and watching your feed and others to gain insights! It was so much fun! , I think it paid off too, at 66 I think my skin looked pretty darn great. Last August out of the blue, I began having reactions to my regular skincare products. Long story short, I've been battling perioral dermatitis and rosacea for over 7 months now. 1st time I've ever had any skin problems! I've had to stop using ALL of my beautiful skincare products, gadgets and makeup. I developed these awful pimple like pustules around my nose, mouth and eyes, and the redness was horrible, itchy and hot. If I had to go out, I tried using a little foundation to try and hide it, but that even backfired and set my skin on fire due to the oil in the foundation. So, I too have fallen off the wagon but not by choice. It's been an emotional roller-coaster and it's doubtful I'll ever be able to get back to my much loved skincare rituals snd having pretty skin. I hope I don't sound like I'm wining, I have a great deal to be thankful for. I just wanted to share in case someone else has been down this path and can offer any insight. Love u Kiki!!

I wonder what’s going on with many of us. I slept in my makeup a couple of times recently. Haven’t done that for years but I am so tired. Oh the guilt! A very good friend regularly admonishes people who go through the paces of wearing makeup. She thinks it is vain. But she is fussy about her curly hair, what’s the difference, I asked her? She then laughed and realized the hypocrisy. My mom admonished me for not looking my best when I visited her in the hospital. She said you must look good for the ill person so they feel better. If you look “bad”, it makes them feel worse. Wow. The guilt! I received the nicest compliment today about my skin. Reminded me that my discipline has paid off and to stay on track with my morning and night routines. It really isn’t hard!

I started tretanoin a few months ago after seeing my aesthetician for a laser/BBL treatment, and that restarted a better approach to my morning/evening routines. I forget to do it much less often now, and I have noticed that doing my evening routine around 9pm really does set me up for sleep, as well as making sure it gets done! (We have roughly the same schedule, offset by 3 time zones!) Due to my ongoing ADHD, I need all the "hacks" I can get! :D Another qq: what kind/brand of red light device do you use and like the best?
