A wonderful film, it really catches the ambiance, the buzz and the dancing at the 165 year old Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival and what it means to people, especially those who were isolated during Covid and yearned for the social aspect of the festival, and were so delighted it was back on after a 2-year break.

Ahh I love lisdoonvarna because you land down there around 10 or 11am or 4 or 5pm and you might have a place to stay or you might not but once I hear good music all my worries and problems are shelved for a couple of hrs when I hit the auld dance floor. Many happy years I've had from 7/8pm on a Friday to Sunday night dancing maybe to two am Friday night. Start again after breakfast at 10 30am straight to 6pm and stop for food and a shower. Back on the auld floor dancing flat out until 2 am and the same on Sunday. Talk about been addicted to dancing? It's no wonder that I'm nearly crippled. No matter once I can get the two feet back on the floor I'll be as happy as a pig in shite.
