Reconstruction of Opalchenska Street in the city of Sofia

Drone report from the reconstruction of Opalchenska Street in the city of Sofia.
Complete reconstruction of Opalchenska St. from the intersection with Slivnitsa Blvd. to Todor Aleksandrov Blvd. began on July 16. This is one of the infrastructure objects included in the capital program of the Metropolitan Municipality.
The construction activities started from the intersection of "Oplchenska" street and "Slivnitsa" boulevard, including the bridge facility over the Vladaiska river. The length of the entire section is about 715 m.
The project provides for the reconstruction of the engineering infrastructure. Sewerage will be reconstructed, new pipe networks, sewer and water supply branches will be built. The electricity distribution network will be renewed. Reconstruction of the trolley bus contact-cable network will also be carried out, as well as reconstruction of the tram track at the intersection of "Oplchenska" and "Pirotska" streets.
The roadway on "Oplchenska" Street will be renovated and expanded, and the gauge of the main route will be 22 m roadways, which includes 3 traffic lanes in each direction, one of which will be for city transport only, and a dividing strip of 1 m. New sidewalks will be built according to the existing development and regulation. New street lighting will be built, located on both sides of the roadway.
The construction works will be carried out with temporary organization of traffic and change of part of the city transport lines.
The term for the implementation of the object is about 8 months. After the renovation, 50 new deciduous trees will be planted.
