When I have a rock that size to work behind, I use my hose ro hydraulic the material I want to work, shovel the loose material into the high banker and then dredge what I couldn't shovel . Found out I can move much more material through the box and sluice as well as break up any clay before it hits the box and sluice. Just a thought

Trash bandit left you a present. You going to have to go all Egypt on moving that big old rock. Well from that angle it looks thin it might be doable.
@X4PROSPECTING2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha all Egypt! Yeah I think so, it’s not as thin of a rock as we thought

My brother took us out panning when we were kids and he had a pan and a bucket and a shovel. We saw more of the shovel and the bucket than pan, pretty sure he had more fun than we did. At the end of the day he had a few flakes. I'm pretty sure that I'm close to being an expert after all the gold content I have watched. Lol. I'm thinking about getting my on pan and head down to the creek. I'm thinking down under where they get those rippers is the place to be.

Lot of work for that little bit of gold
@X4PROSPECTING2 жыл бұрын
Lol. It’s worth it for us, because it’s not about the amount of gold we find, just the fun we having finding it.

I just came across your channel with this video which I enjoyed. My question is that I'm assuming with this final weigh in you guys made around $60? Doesn't seem worth it to me if that's the case, although I geuss the the thrill of finding the gold is what it's all about? Not the money?? Please let me know. Thanks
@X4PROSPECTING2 жыл бұрын
Definitely, it’s not about the value of the gold, it’s about the experience and having fun with friends. Gold is just a bonus, plus the feeling of seeing that gold in your pan is just a thrill in itsself.

If your running cost is more then your making in gold that seems like a bad deal.
@X4PROSPECTING2 жыл бұрын
As I’ve said numerous times on this channel, this channel and the videos I make are not about the monetary value of the gold I find. It is more about the experiences I have with friends, and showing the viewers how they can find gold as well. No amount of money can outweigh the experiences and memories I have with my friends finding gold on the creek. Plus, this is my way of escaping the real world and really acts as a stress reliever, there’s no better way to relieve stress than by sitting at the creek with friends finding gold.
@marcuslarwa90982 жыл бұрын
@@X4PROSPECTING I absolutely agree but it gets expensive when using equipment. It’s one thing to go pan for gold but running equipment gets expensive. I know I couldn’t afford to have a hobby like that.
@X4PROSPECTING2 жыл бұрын
Well you don’t have to invest in or run equipment like the dredge or highbanker, you can find just as much gold panning or sluicing the material. I pulled 1/2 gram just using a sluice in about 4.5 hours. And it depends where you go prospecting, and the gold in your area.
