players like virat kohli are hailed as KINGS even though he has been failing in test matches for the last few years, but the indian commentators still hail him as if he much greater than other bastmen. But english players like Bairstow, Root, Brook, Crawley are playing test cricket far superior than Kohli ever had or could anymore in the future. A player is not defined just by some past records and branding. A great player is defined by his ability to adapt, innovate and outperform others. Kohli had that in him to an extent when he was at his peak, but he is nowhere closer to the contemporary innovative batsmen in England. In my opinion people like Bairstow, Brook, Root should be given really high regard in terms of their batting skills... If one player in india plays like in Baristow style, they will make him King for the rest of his life.
