He defunds our schools and then sided with splitting taxpayers money meant for public schools to private schools. Hes made missouri one of the hardest states to vote in and has suppressed the city in every way possible. The past 2 governor's (one found to be corrupt) has flipped this blue state to red. Voted with right to work to destroy working wages all because he wants to destroy the democrat voters. He voted against the consumer fuel price gouging act that wouldve stopped the oil companies from racketeering off the people for huge profits. Yes republicans are 100% solely responsible for these fake high gas prices. If he hasnt voted against it yet then im sure he will but the house just passed a bill to lower gas and food prices. His vote caused roe vs wade to be overturned. All this plays a huge part when it comes to crime in St. Louis when they are systemically suprressed more and more. So yea we can talk about plenty of reasons why a democrat city is falling apart thanks to the gop.

I know it must be painful to,see such excess water while millions are losing their way of life from the mega drought out west, but shipping water those kinds of distances is unrealistic. Plus, who’s water is it anyway? Who gets to decide whether to share it? Who if anyone profits from it? Many more questions like these way before the technical challenges.

Record rainfall and the drainage systems for every parcel of inhabited land and every parcel of agricultural land and the fact that roads are made to be easy to move down caused flooding in St Louis. That, for every stream, creek, or river in the area. I don't want my house to flood, immediately ditch and canal the water to the rivers. Can't let my crops drown, immediately ditch and canal the water to the rivers. People can't travel flooded streets, immediately ditch and canal the water to the rivers. Plus, every building foundation alters the local hydrology. Every road or street. All of it. Storm water should sit on land for minutes, hours, days if it doesn't fall directly in a natural drainage basin.

About 1,900 of which is woods, 600 is prairie, 300 is crops, 200 is cool season grass and 25 are lakes, ponds and creeks. We promote prairie every chance we get. It also sequesters carbon, filters the water, provides wildlife habitat and serves as an ecosystem for insects and microorganisms.

Coming from a drought prone state az the funny thing about mother nature,when coming out of a drought there is mass flooding as above normal rain falls to replace what has displaced. This is normal weather mother nature fixing herself. Problem with st Louis is the Mississippi river is in the middle of the city by the arch.

And aggressive changes of weather like this can cause harm to many agriculture farms out there. A place that use to get a few inches of rain every month or so could be dry for years mabey even decades which drastically makes changes to the population and ecosystem. A place with too much rain that doesn't get much could cause hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages, destroy crops and kill livestock. And taint the soil that grows the crops.
