TX state record is 18.18 lbs and has been for 30 years. I have no doubt there are hogs that size somewhere lurking in our lakes, but it'll take mostly luck to find one. Good luck with that goal, man!

Hey Milliken great video. Here is a Great small lake with lots of bass over ten pounds. McCarty lake Albany Texas. North of Abilene. I used to fish it when I lived out there. It is the perfect lake for growing big bass it has Rocky ledges, flat points, damn creeks and points. It's a fairly small lake. Not very many people fish it when I was there.

I have never caught a 10 pound largemouth bass here where I live we have used the Alabama rig for smallmouth bass it is an amazing lure what brand did you use for your Alabama rig? We just get out on Amazon!

The no named lake from your 60 pound bag survived because of the fish you caught and posted on KZbin. Totally understand your reasoning but certain places especially in west Texas need this information out there to help them thrive. A lot of credit should be given to you for the good that catching those bass did. It also brings sharelunker offspring to more of our lakes. Dude, in 1991 for my college graduation we went to a power plant lake in East Texas, slot limit was 18” - 23”. My brother, my dad and myself, each caught huge fish!!! My dad caught one outside the slot! Thirty years later that slot seems dinky now!!

Always enjoy your videos and the fun you guys have on the water. A few years ago I retired from the military here in central Texas after living here a few times I knew how good the fishing could be. I have not been able to fish as much as I had planned as my new job and volunteer work has eaten in to much of what I thought would be free time but did manage to run the local Tuesday night tourney series last year and get to know some of the local waters better. I have a goal to at a minimum get my PB this year and most importantly just have fun. There are a couple lakes here in the central area that I don't think you have fished you may be interested in trying if so drop me a line and Ill give you the info so we don't see the same issue as some of the waters got last year. Stay safe out there fellas and keep having fun!
