I've always struggled with the video quality of Zoom meeting recording. Zoom clips is such a great tip!

This is excellent, yet I do not have the clips option on my business account. I look forward to figuring out how to get clips and use it. : )

Awesome! Thank you very much. I'm curious how well this will work. I gave up recording my videos on Zoom because I was not too fond of the quality. This may help.

Yes I think it's higher resolution than zoom meeting!

Very interesting! I wonder if the recording can then be uploaded for editing in another software (I use descript).

Yes! After you finish recording, wait about 2 minutes (well, depending how long your video is you may need to wait up to 10m) and then you'll be able to download the zoom clip to upload anywhere you like.

George, how would you summarize the advantages of using Zoom Clips? Higher resolution is one. Simpler settings and interface? What else? The term "clips" implies shorter. Does it have anything to do with the trend towards Shorts and Reels? Why are you now favoring Clips over Zoom meetings?

You got the main benefits! Plus you don't have to have your name on bottom left (some people wish they could remove it but it's required in zoom meeting). Clips does sound short but I don't think there's a time limit.

Very helpful, thanks - does it have the Autotext facility on Clips? I'm always being told that many people prefer to read the words being said rather than listen to a video.

Transcript (subtitle) is automatic in Zoom Clips -- if you share the link directly from Zoom. Alternatively you can download it, then upload it to KZbin, which has its own automatic transcript/subtitles :)
