I think you could maybe use this with the technique to do the wide canvas with the video and the webcam so now u could stream and have the separate gameplay and webcam for editing later

@@LighterShadeGames oh yh absolutely. U can leave and put all the overlays you want and keep the original ratio size of everything. I only explained how to separate them cuz people might want a camera to zoom in, move around, shake etc

Couldn't you not set the base canvas for the Verticle to 3840 (1920 x 2) and then just put gameplay on and the cam? That way you lose 0 quality. It's how people usually record gameplay in OBS and then all you do is dupe the layers and move them over, nest and you have 2 seperate videos that retain the 1080p aspect quality?

separate your audio into different channels on obs. #1 should be checked for everything as that is for your stream. but make your mic a different channel, game a different channel etc. also, use a player like vlc that can actually pick up those different channels. your editing software has to be able to read different channels as well.

Thanks for the Video! Do you think this performes better than just starting a second obs window for the gp (and maybe even a third for a facecam recording) and record on there while streaming?

No problem. I would say that this is better and then u can have a second ob's just for the camera. Because the problem with multiple obs's is that if you captura a game on the first obs, the second one will show black and nothing else and this bypasses that :D

Never heard anything about that :( And I have done this method on multiple different PCs from scratch. Maybe there is some plugin that you are missing? Have you tried updating everything that you are using like the obs, graphics card software etc? And if that is all updated, have you tried searching for your specific issue on google?

Дуже круто, але точно не для слабких ПК. Якщо ви людина, котра має слабкий ПК і хоче записувати проходження на ютуб й паралельно вести твіч етер, то ви можете на пряму з твіч перекидувати відео в ютуб. Звісно, ваші оверлеї будуть присутні, але це краще, ніж нічого!!
