I already expect RecD uploads to be sick, but I was _really_ sold on this when the pitch bend before the drop was portrayed as an unhinged laugh. and then it just kept getting better the entire time. in fact, I straight up like this depiction of Fake Peppino more than his presence in the game itself. it feels like it takes what he felt like in the game, and distilled it into a more concentrated version, nevermind the fact that as a lyrical adaptation it's also an incredible work

this is FIRE! 🔥 this cover’s unique and very different from your other Pizza Tower covers. for the supposedly last Pizza Tower cover, i’d say this was a fantastic finale! GREAT WORK! i forgot to mention the way Fake Peppino uses opposite words as opposed to Peppino as in Peppino saying “Come on, where is-a this thing?” to which Fake Peppino says “Come off, where isn’t this-a thing?” i think it’s genius!

Something about “You’re so close to joining the LOSING TEAM!” feels oddly clever to me Obviously it’s part of his sparse Bizzaro-esk talk where he says the opposite of what he means, but it also fits perfectly even when not taken in that context as that final chase has the possibility of Peppino finally losing, joining the Losing Team as a result. A lot of his Bizzaro dialog can be oddly taken directly as it’s said and still makes sense without the knowledge he’s not saying what he means

Fake peppino was made to be embodiment of peppino but turned out to be the exact opposite, however for what he is instead of getting weaker he became stronger. So essentially trading off the ability to cook well and form proper sentences (and maybe some sanity) they’re stronger than peppino and it’s especially shown through the chase scene, not only having to flee for your life but also the fact they do the most damage in the game when in that phase

Wow. This is one of the coolest video game song covers you’ve made. I love the story arcs and how the contrast between Peppino and Fake Peppino changes as time goes on, and I also like how Peppino starts off genuinely wanting to help Fake Peppino out… that is, until he starts trying to kill him. Some of my favorite lines in this are… “No one hurts me like… ME!” I love the amount of power Peppino puts into that line, and it’s a great way for him to make a comeback. “A number one-star pizza cook!” Damn. What a cold line from Fake Peppino. Amazing lyrical work there. Another detail I love is that when Peppino’s being absorbed, his subtitles gray out slightly, before going back to white when he punches FP. “Hey… I’d show more sympathy if you weren’t still killing me…” That loops back to the point I made before: Peppino doesn’t want to fight, he genuinely wants to help FP become a better pizza maker, but it doesn’t seem like he can convince him, so he keeps fighting. I also love the end of the chase, where Peppino yells “YES… IT… DOES!” as a counter-argument to FP’s consistency of saying “Pizza Time never ends”. And then the victory theme at the end… THAT was satisfying to hear at the end. Overall, amazing work with this! I’m sad that you can’t do more of these thanks to copyright, but I’m still happy for what we got of it!
