Tom I was just about to comment and say the same thing. I'm 46 and I agree that David is the first guy who I actually felt explained things in a very succinct manner! Most guys say it's beginner but it's never really pitched at beginner and if it is they are still using jargon that is unhelpful. I think what I'm trying to say is - David has no ego, and that is exactly what us beginners need!! Excellent work David!

NOTE to Windows Users: Playback and Recording Devices are set in the Windows Control Panel. Change the Control Panel from Category View to Small or Large Icons View and go into Manage Audio Devices. Set Audiobox 96 as the Default Playback device to hear your music through the speakers or headphones connected to the Audiobox 96. Make sure you go into Properties of the Audiobox and check Enable. When you use your PC without the Audiobox connected, don't worry, Windows should revert to the built-in speakers as the Playback device, as long as you haven't Disabled your internal speakers. Because the Audiobox is connected via USB, it will appear as a Line device under Recording Devices. Make sure you go into Properties and Enable it. Then make it the Default Recording device. Under Sounds in the Control Panel, I recommend you set the Sound Scheme to None to avoid operating system sounds from interfering while you're working with Studio One

Thank you so much for your guides David huge help. Just one thing to mention. If you are PC rather than Mac you need to download the audiobox driver. I had to do some digging to find this out. Studio one wasn't recognising the audiobox without it and it didn't download with the rest of the software.

On my screen it shows the audio box but under it it says Windows audio instead of pre-Sonus audio box do I have the wrong driver installed and how would I fix that I am brand new to this

what do you do if your "Audiobox USB 96" isn't showing as an option to select? that's the problem I'm having.

just had this problem, check that you have universal control downlaoded and installed. After I did this, all the interfaces instantly showed up under 'playback devices'. heres the link for universal control: www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-USB-96/downloads

Hi guys, I’ve found studio 2/6 and selected this as the audio input and output but no sound comes from the Eris speakers. I’ve had to connect the interface via a USB adapter to a Lightning C port in my Mac. Could this be the cause for no sound through the monitors? If yes, is there a suggested USB C to USB B I can use ?

I have SO4 Artist and when I get to the this screen it does not have the top two lines for playback device and recording device. Where are they found now?

@@janereeds6817 What about when it won't even show up. Am i missing a program? My Girlfriend bought me the AudioBox USB 96 Studio, an i downloaded everything with it except two plug-ins that wouldn't download. But even when i start the program now to find my AudioBox it doesn't show up.

Well, now I'm having a different issue, I use ASIO ForAll driver and using GE-200, I recorded guitar but there is nothing happen, no signal coming out and shown in my track, I checked input and output (I/O set up) and see all input and output are there, please advice what could be wrong

My YamahaTHR10x amp acts as an interface and I can see it in the set up. Problem is, it plays back through the amp. Almost blew my speakers! Any idea how to set it so my speakers get the playback and not the amp?

so, every time i launch studio one it says Failed to open line(2-AudioBox USB 96) please make sure that the sample rates of your recording and playback devices match. I'm having the hardest time with it. I know its probably simple but its very aggravating. could someone please help me out. Thanks.

I'm new to Presonus. I have Studio One 4 newly installed on an i6 PC. Right now my audio device is Windows Audio. In the audio set up panel it won't let my chose a Sample Block number the way you do in the demo. There is no drop down tab offered beside Device Block Size.

Hi everyone! At first, thanks for the video, I hoped to get some help from it but unfortunately, it didn't work for me. My problem is this: I cannot hear the input of my keyboard at all, hence I thought that I should change sth in the audio setup. However, I cannot even change e.g. the device block size. I'm simply "not allowed" to by the interface. Do you have any idea what could be a solution for my problem? I'd appreciate any help because I finally would like to start using the MIDI controller. I've got the AudioBox plugged into my laptop via USB port (I have tried both ports on my laptop), but the AudioBox does not show up in Audio Setup, it just shows my Realtek (Alienware laptop speakers)

Why isn’t there a picture of your interface on your start up page? I’ve been going crazy uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and Studio 1 because my Presonus Studio 24C doesn’t show up either as a picture. Please Help thanks.
