good review. Ive been wanting to upgrade my blue Spark and you can definitely hear how much high end the spark has. The baby bottle sounds a lot more pleasing to the ear when it comes to vocals.

There goes the creamy style of the baby bottle. Fortunately, I have some of the JZ original builds that sound so smooth you feel somewhat otherworldly before the effects.

This is the right way to compare mics. Equal positioning all recording the same tracks. Judging on mid/high clarity and definition, I like the Spark the best, then Bluebird, then Baby Bottle. Opposite of what I expected. I just bought a Bluebird, wondering if I should've got the Spark. Low end sounds about the same on all three to me.

Hello, sorry but I can't find the tracks on the website to... are they still there, tanks

The Spark SL is completely ridiculous for the price... it's my favorite, too! With the -20dBs pad you can throw it at anything, and with the extended bass response, basically record everything well from female vocals to a bass-drum. It's a no-brainer mic for me.

It was a video where the microphones were clearly distinguished.👍

Disappointed, her single isn't even released yet. Subscribed to Jen, I would like to hear the full song.

What a great comparison! I think your voice is great to listen to! May you tell me which hardware (preamp) you used for these mics?

It might have a bit more definition, but for me, the baby bottle have the less good sound and it's the most expensive. Strange. It feels like if the sound were more close, as it has definitively less top end.

That’s not a bad thing. When in post production you want the flattest but clearest signal you can possibly get. That’s the signature of a good mic.
@HarvinderSingh-yy8th2 жыл бұрын
Dear baby bottle is best known for vocals. Pl. watch podocastage comparison of bird, bottle and spark.
@JALNIN662 жыл бұрын
@@prexst I never understood that. People say they want flat but they tend to like mics that roll off the top end. The Spark makes the singer sound like she's in the room with me singing into my ear. The Baby Bottle sounds like she's singing through a blanket. Maybe I just like crisp treble. Seems to me it would be easier to roll off frequencies that were captured than to try to add frequencies that were not.
@ChangoFrett2 жыл бұрын
@@JALNIN66 it's pretty dependent upon how the mics all handle which frequencies they capture. The Spark (that I've owned for years) has this nasty way of handling high frequencies that, for my voice, captures all the worst parts of being breathy. The Bluebird stays just as bright up top, but with an emphasis in its high-mids a bit below what the Spark tends to emphasize. It makes it smoother and easier to listen to without getting harsh. It really makes her voice pop. Listen to the Spark and Bluebird comparison again and pay attention to the very high top end in her singing. You'll hear the emphasis on the air moving through her mouth in the Spark. It gets grating really fast.
