i go with the mid/side, killer sound!

all 3 are great. one thing i was listening to (besides the stereo width) is the way it picks up the kick in the room. IMO the kick sounds heaviest in cardioid, but the snare sounds amazing in mid-side. I don't think you go wrong with any of them. It sounds widest in Blumlein and Mid-side. I think MS might be the one for me.

What do you use them on most?

@@hoborec Everything - they are so versatile - great vocal mic - nice on acc. guitar, brass, as over-heads - I've not found a single thing they struggle with - even female vocals which are always a challenge with less-than top=end mics. Fabulous value. The only budget mic I prefer purely as a vocal mic is the Rockwell Mini K47 - and that's not in all cases. V44 sounds great through a tube mic pre too.

Great sounding mic. I was very close to getting it, but decided to go with the Austrian Audio CC8 stereo pair. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I bet those are great too! Also versatile with separate stereo pair. But, I really like to have a single stereo mic for easy setup. I’m starting to collect mics for specific use instead of being for everything.

The drummer really slams that kit, the mic above his head shakes a bit when he's playing. The combo OH, room and kick mic sounds huge. Gonna try blumlein, sounds really open, I always record with stereo pair ('couse i'm used to it) and wanna hear other placements. As always great video Ulf.

Fantastic demo brother! I liked the Blumlien and the Mid Side mode for OHs -- I it gave more of the snare which I always want more of. Super interesting microphone -- you might make me spend more money! Ha!

Thanks man!! I usually like blumlein, because it leaves some space for the snare in the middle. Anyways this mic sounds awesome and I’m very positively surprised by the mid side. If you do it will be money well spent 👍

Grym mix i med M/S, även om jag föredrog separationen med Blumlein. Utan fler mickar - helt klart M/S. Mer uppmickat - helt klart Blumlein. Trots avsaknaden av "dangle" i basen har den gött gröt ändå, så snyggt räddat!
