It's a really great album. A perfect way to ride off into the sunset...✌️

Abbey Road was the first album that turned me on to how unbelievably amazing good music can be. Still my favourite Beatles album by far

It really is great, even more so considering the state of their relationship at the time.

Abbey Road sounds incredible even to this day. Not just because of the music but the jump in sound quality was just insane. It showcased all their musical talents, especially Ringo who I always thought their production never did his skills justice prior to Abbey Road. Maybe Revolver

I really have to give it to the engineers and staff at EMI and Apple. Even now 50 years later so many of their albums sound so sonically awesome even though the technology and equipment was so primitive. In the early albums John’s aggressive acoustic guitar playing style was so clear, then Paul’s amazing bass lines from Pepper onwards to the various tones on the White Album and Abbey Road really hold up well today.

Well said! It does make you wonder how things would have turned out if Decca signed them when they had the chance..

Great stuff.. I didn't quite realize how much the moog did on this. I right by the moog museum currently as a matter of fact

The Moog use on Abbey Road is subtle and sublime where others may have made it sound cheesy

How did they pull off the brilliant backmasking?

Thank you for your video. It also reminded me how much I hate the sound of compression on drums. (I'm not a Geoff Emerick fan. He's muddy, muffled, no dynamics. Other people remix his stuff on other artist's albums he did. I'm with Ken Scott. Phil McDonald. John Leckie. Alan Parsons. They rule.)

I will say something heretical which is I don't think "Abbey Road" sounds that good. They made better stereo mixes but the actual sounds are kinda brittle and thin sounding. The best sounding Beatles album is actually "Beatles For Sale."

Thats a really interesting point, it does sound great ,although it was likely recorded in a very similar way to Hard days Night but sounds a lot better!

Abbey Road sounds like nothing else, and I can’t put my finger on what makes it so unique. It’s iconic.
