Recover Pixel 4a | Install Project Elixir after battery replacement issue on pixel 4a device

Hi Everyone in this video I'm going to tell you. How you can install Project Elixir on your phone.
With the help of this os you can resolve Pixel 4a battery replacement issue after recent Android 13 update.

Hey I tried everything to resolve Fastboot Devices issue and at the end I just open my device manager after the adb bootloader restart command found my device pixel 4a having an exclamation mark with it I simple again chose the option of update driver and reselect the same usb_driver folder again and it found a new driver "Android bootloader interface " and I installed it and the fastboot devices command starts showing the device Hope it will help you all !!!!

Thank you for the video, you saved my favorite phone! For those who encounter the issue where the device isn't visible during the "fastboot devices" step, in my case, the problem turned out to be with installing the Google USB driver. You should NOT select the "amd64" folder but instead simply select the "usb_driver" folder. I'm using Windows 11, and this worked for me.

@@twenty4marc306 On 5:22. You just need to select the "usb_driver" folder, not "amd64". However, if you've already done this, in my case, I found my device not in "Portable devices" but under "USB devices" or "Other devices" if the phone is currently in fastboot mode

Thanks for the video man. i have 3 questions, 1. After installing Lineage OS/Elixir, how is the battery now? Back to normal 5-6 hours Screen on time? 2. If i got to shop and ask them to flash the device to downgrade to Android 12, will they do it? Will it be costly? (I live in Chennai) 3. Hey Everyone, I would recommend all to install Evolution x os. You can follow the above steps. Just replace Project Elixir rom with Evolution x rom.

Hi Krushna, I am not able to unlcok the device after "adb reboot bootloader". I tried both the steps multiple times but no luck. once it goes to fastboot mode - device will not be connect to system(computer).

@@ravindrasinghsuri8299 Bro.. make sure you have installed usb drivers. OEM unlocking is enabled. Then make sure you have turned on USB debugging. Then make sure when you select the adb devices. You will get prompt. Click allow and tick always allow. Then go to adb reboot bootloader In when you are in fastboot mode. Click on the link or type Fastboot devices and see if it works. If it's not working you need to update your drivers or you need to check if everything is connected and your following correct steps and try again

The main download source link of the android 14 was not unavailable on Android 14 download link. It was available on the Android 13 link so it was downloaded from there. If it's available now. You can download it and install it now.

Sure bro.. The problem is I don't find an official site fof Project Pixel Age and I don't want to tell anyone to install something that don't have it's official support page. It's important to understand privacy and security so I didn't recommend it. But I will definitely try if I get any official source for Project Pixel age rom.

Bro.. once you think you want to sell your product or exchange it. You can re-install stock os and lock your bootloader. It will be as it is.

@ShubhamChoudhary-e3t Rooting means we are giving access to root file of Android device. In short we are giving all access including making changes to pre-installed apps and everything. Here we are just installing a custom rom and if we don't want it we can always go back to stock os and make our phone as it is on pixel devices.

Bro how did you copy the project elixir file to the terminal. It did't work for me and my device stuck and seems like it's dead. Now it shows ❝your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly. ❞ What to do now? It's my favourite phone.

I have just copied the path of the file.. so you need to select the file and just move it to the terminal until the path of the file gets copy pasted. Or you can rename project Elixir file as "project" And then in Terminal when you enter command adb sideload you can just type the name e.g : adb sideload project .zip You can start process again using following steps Bro open your phone in fastboot mode 1. Switch off 2. Press both power on and volume down button together So your device will open in fastboot mode 3. If your device is unlocked From the right side volume button toggle to recovery mode and open your device in recovery mode. 4. Now connect your phone to laptop using usb cable and then In recovery mode go to advance recovery and enable adb. 5. Then type adb devices in terminal 6. then perform all the steps again that are shown in video

@@RRakesh92 all apps are supported except Google pay. Google pay use play integrity for that we need to root our device to use it. All other apps work fine. You will need to install them from the play store. Project Elixir and Evolution x these two roms are exactly the same as stock android. 1. YES, It is the same as Stock OS. 2. Support all apps except GPay. We have paytm, phone pay as alternatives 3. Evolution X is better than Project Elixir. I'm using Evolution x now. I tried all other os. Evolution x, lineage OS and project Elixir these three are best choices.

Make sure your usb cable is good. Try switching the usb port. Make sure you have all the latest drivers. If command line won't work you can also try the link in the description to unlock your bootloader.

Personally I am using Evolution x now. And I'm happy with it. But I feel Lineage OS also has the same features just need to install Google apps again.

@rabbitholebd4926 Graphene os discontinued support for Pixel 4a. Calyxos is similar to Graphene os. Calyxos is very secure and private. You can try that. Talking about, Graphene is not for regular users. If you want a phone that's more secure. Then that's for you. Graphene runs google apps in sandbox. Graphene os will have stock apps which are secure but for the user friendly experience we are used to with google apps and environment. So I would suggest go with calyxos if you want experience like graphene. Else my recommendation are Evolution x, lineage OS or project Elixir.
