I bet he really wishes the heavy wrecker was finished. That bumper should be tied into the frame in the middle anyway.
@richardthomas17432 жыл бұрын
That was fun , you definitely need a stronger bumper! Just back up into a tree kind of lightly and mush it back in place. 😁
@johnguilfoyle30732 жыл бұрын
I was working at a body shop decades ago and a State Trooper came in with a rear bumper that had gotten snagged and bent outwards. I got to back his car into a telephone pole to get it in a less absurd position to drive down the road.

Robby sheds a tear whenever something happens to Mischief maker. But you need a stronger bumper anyway. Good job getting that awesome motor home out, with the guys.

Matt didn't break it, you broke it getting frisky! As stout as those bumpers seem they're not very tough, just a bunch of sheet metal welded together. I've put a bunch of em on and I shake my head every time. But it's what the customer wants!

My hell for one thing that bumper isn't set up for pulling motor homes but I know if Hepta knew your where going to do stuff like that he would of built you one but usually towing company's have trucks to do that stuff , Casey offroad would of hooked his big truck up and pulled it out no problem. Hepta are really good bumpers and work really well never had a problem pulling people at all

It’s almost good that that happened Holly. It really needs to be tied into your frame rails for strength to even pull you out or be used as a change of direction pulley anchor on the trail

Sorry about the bumper, but it's not a surprise that it happened, seeing your setup. You said it, you need some real pulling points on the back. 2 hook attachments on the sides, and a well mounted hitch in the middle. What if you had to be pulled out of a situation from the back? Guess you'd need to use the rear axle. Robby's got the toys to straighten the bumper.

It's almost like you all need a purpose-built recovery rig so that your super nice crawler can stay super nice. Maybe start with an older square body bow tie, add a bunch of go anywhere bits and bobs, and a half dozen winches, then you can play off road wrecker olympics! 👍
@johnme70492 жыл бұрын
Is that even made for pulling ANYTHING? One wonders why you do not have a receiver hitch back there. Considering what you do with Him He deserves a bit of 'Beef' back there. Also a receiver would give you the option to use a winch there when needed. I know You don't often need one but options are nice to have. You know I don't mean to be a negative Nelly and It was so good of you to answer the call. What a way to end this week. Love you guys and God bless.

Back in 2009, I was at a park where they tried to sell me the annual pass, saying it was really good if I was local. I told them we were from very far away, to which they told us that we don't need it. In any event, I'm surprised that motorhome weighed that much. I see it's a modified Cascadia, but back in my days of driving trucks, our trucks weighed around 35,000 pounds empty.
