I enjoyed that. It's true women are comparatively rubbish at stand up, but there are exceptions. Would like to hear more from this lady. She was warming up nicely.

Yeah it was decent and she held her confidence in front of an audience so fair play to her. Hope she develops more with time. It’s not like every good male comedian was instantly good the first time, everyone has to develop their craft. Unfortunately there is the kind of guy that will see this video and moan she isn’t the level of Sean Lock etc and therefore ‘women ain’t funny’ to them.

With critical postcolonial and feminist lens, like Maryam Wasif Khan's reading of book is also a commentary on gender and a British woman's place within the colonial project The female characters coming to the Orient to break free of their social roles in Britain represent the discord between Englishwomen and their social roles at home, and tells the narrative of "pioneering Englishwomen whose emergent feminism found form and voice in the colony".

Well done Cressida ...just slow down a bit yung un, and don't listen to the chumps below who are failing to see a beautifully emerging talent xxx
@onpsxmember8 ай бұрын
Indeed. Not turned down to full Ron White slow but a bit would help. The question is if there is more material besides her life.
@carlhartwell79788 ай бұрын
Yeah, she seemed just a tad nervous. I don't think her delivery was at all bad and the material was very mostly funny, some of it very funny. But like you say she seemed rushed, tense. Obviously that's a 'character/style' that some comics employ, Lee Evans comes to mind. But I don't think that's what she was going for! Maybe she's trying to emulate Sarah Millican?
@muldwych20298 ай бұрын
Some good material from Cressida in there, but she definitely needs to relax and let both herself and her jokes breathe a bit.
@carlhartwell79788 ай бұрын
It's obviously a balance, she managed to get a shitload in there for only a ten min set... like you say though, maybe 'cut out some of the fat' and let the meat simmer for a little longer! That takes a shitload of confidence of course.🤷
@muldwych20298 ай бұрын
Definitely. I've seen her more relaxed on GBNews, including 'Free Speech Nation', which has a studio audience, so it's just a matter of practice.

November 6, 2023 - . I hope Cressida adds more material to her routine. Cressida is great on "Headliners" on GBNews. She's more relaxed, and the moments that she looks directly into the camera, as if to say... @#$%&, "give me a break" is the gold that her given name means. She had a fun exchange between herself and Louis Shaffer which made me laugh so much I recorded it.

Because you don’t find them funny means they’re not funny lol. Loads of women are funny. There are some stereotypes of things men like to laugh at vs women etc but it’s annoyed we can’t just respect each others differences and have to attack each other it’s depressing as fuck.
