How to Fix Corrupted USB Flash Drive and Recover Data?

An absolute gentleman. Would not have gotten my issue sorted without you. I followed each step on two different laptops but it was working for me. The Wondershare Recovery worked though... Kind of. I installed it, had it scan for my drive and that fixed it. I didn't even need to buy the product to recover the data. Once Wondershare scanned it, the USB Drive was back appearing in my Windows Explorer. I backed the hell up out of it immediately to my external drive. Spent the last 20/30 minutes barely moving incase it stopped working. Backed up now and that stick is being chucked in the bin. Whether or not it's been fixed or not... The Cursed thing has caused me too much grief to even look at it anymore. It's disloyalty cannot go unpunished.

I use Power iso>tools>USB clean but it seems that app is not stable. It does fix the drive then I perform a recovery. Your video was no frills and presented in a professional to the point manner which works and saves time - thanks much!

I have three flash drives and they all have similar files and folders that, a few months ago, worked fine. Certain files will upload to the computer, but others just put the computer into "not responding". I don't think any of the suggestions here will help this. No USB port on either of my computers will recognize the thumb (flash) drive when I plug it in. There is no visual damage to the drive and the drive has worked successfully for many weeks. I have some critical data on the drive that I'm eager to recover. When I plug the unit into any USB port, I get the audible "ding" and the light on the end of the drive flashes. THANK YOU!!! I had a 512g Sandisk that had locked me out (with 234 files I needed!!) and stated that I needed to 'Format Disk' before I did anything. We know that would have erased everything. Then I found you after a little search. Suddenly, there were my files back (after using the CMD option) and operating as they should. I was sweating at the possible loss of all and needed a gin. But all is well now. I'll still have the gin. Thanks again!

Exactly! If W11 Control Panel is displaying a Yellow 'not recognised' message and your USB is 'hiding' the last letter you used (after, say, formatting it, to clear unimportant info. in my case) you are stuck trying to progress with an absent drive letter from the last one used. Is that your case?

while using cmd , this comes : Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or the disk may be locked by another process. You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode and make sure the disk is unlocked. actualy iwas repairing the usb drive and the pc got stuck so i forcefuly end the process from the task manager and then i am nor able to format the disk neighter able to copy and paste data. im stuck please help. The software cannot recover from a CORRUPTED USB, as such a drive would not work. Please do a demo of fixing everyhing either without formatting or with formatting and recovery of file on that very drive. No editing and no switching windows in the recording
