This should be a TED talk! This is an important discovery and hopefully will help to find a way to regenerate hair cells in the cochlear of adult humans.

What if I run out of those supporting (inner ear) cells? Can we artificially make supporting cells to replace the ones that are done being used?
@Sofia-uj5cs2 жыл бұрын
the drug is supposed to proliferate supporting cells which means that the supporting cells divide and then turn into a hair cell
@deadeye_john2 жыл бұрын
@@Sofia-uj5cs Oh I see. But what if I run out of space for them? Or if some new hair sells are done being used? Take them out and use the drug again?
@Sofia-uj5cs2 жыл бұрын
so, no. What i think happens it that the new hair cells regenerate abd if they die, they die. With proliferation the new supporting cells would once again divide and the other one woukd remain as a supporting cell and the other one would become a new hair cell. It’s hard to explain with words
@deadeye_john2 жыл бұрын
@@Sofia-uj5cs What if there's no more to divide? I think we gotta recycle them and artificially make new ones.

what do you mean there’s no more to divide? It’s already in your ear, and when they proliferate the amount of the supporting cells doesn’t decrease

I can regenerate hearing without any drugs, and the person can hear higher and higher CPS maybe 3 or 4 thousand CPS. I haven,t released this process yet, but it is a very simple procedure, and why nobody has figured this out yet, is beyond me. Just as their is a simple cure for the cold and FLU. But regrowth of the hairs with my therapy, might be interesting.
