Good video, I have read somewhere that the further the anchor from the car the better the grip.

I can believe that. Biggest factors seemed to be the angle and firmness of the soil around the anchor. Please note that I had to winch my nose down against the ground until my front wheels created the incline - so that REALLY challenged the anchor.

I dunno why that wasn’t working for you aside from not standing on it and helping it into the ground. But, do you have a frozen ground??? Where it’s basically an ice sheet 12” down? Pretty sure it wouldn’t work with that…

No, it was soft mud. In fairness, the PullPal documentation warns that it’s not reliable in soft ground. Unfortunately, though, soft ground is where most people get stuck! 😀

I suppose it was extra soft ground then. I use mine in sand and mud but usually I stand on it till it starts to really bite. Then I get in the truck and drive out.

@@IronWolfOverlandalso, if you pre dig a thin trench for it to bury the frame better, sometimes that helps cause there’s roots or build up etc. that doesn’t allow it to go deeper.

Nice video with the added flair of much of the audio sounding like someone quietly describing their plight within a live hostage situation.
