I think what's so amazing about this, is it wasn't even for mother's day, her birthday, or any holiday. He just did it out of his own love and excitement to make her happy. You're a light in this world Peter.

The Love a son has for his mother is so special. Doesn’t make him less masculine, weak or a wimp. It does just the opposite, it shows how strong, and truly powerful he is in his heart and soul. A true man treats women with the respect and love they deserve, starting with his mother. You have raised a true gentleman. The world thanks you. Beautiful family!!

It’s the same with mine. I’m very sorry you’re going through that, too. It’s bizarre and it’s painful. (It’s also unhealthy.) I have to say, though, I’m hearing that from a lot of moms lately. It’s almost become a relief that it’s more an epidemic than it is personal. Almost. Watching these two interact feels normal, at least.

I’m glad you’re open to the fact you may of been/done something wrong. Too many parents refuse to even consider this fact. You may also want to consider the fact that you did nothing wrong and sometimes people just aren’t close to their children/parents

Sometimes we find out one of our children are more compatible with our personalities. Let yourself hurt. I think we can all hurt together (over lost parent relationships) and be happy for this beautiful family. As life is delt that way sometimes. ❤ very likely not your fault dear Momma.

Reminds me of my mother, you’re truly an amazing young man with an amazing mother. I just lost my best friend Oct the 1st after losing my father 4 months before, and like she held me in her arms when I came into this world, I held her held her in my arms as she left. My friend never miss a day telling her just how much she means to you and how much you love her. You are so blessed

This was also a special book when I was little as well, my mom turned the “I’ll love you forever” words into a little song she would sing me. Now I have a son and this book just hits different. I lost my composure when she read the part about her son moving away. My son is four, so I have a while until that become reality, but I think about it all the time. A love between a mother and son is truly something special ❤️

Makes me miss my Mom even more 😢 This was just Amazing ❤️ To all those who still have your Mother in your life.. Love her! Respect her! Do silly and meaningful things with her (Lunch, shopping, cooking, and much more), and if you’re arguing and have serious anger towards her... walk it off and Apologize! There will be a day where she won’t be here anymore... So Cherish each day with her! That’s a fact Jack!

I try to tell people this too. My mom passed in 2017, and even though we were estranged and I didnt like her a lot of the time, and had a lot of resentment- I cried and felt a pain I never felt before when I got the news. Grieving a dead parent is really hard, and something that takes a long time to process. I catch myself sometimes thinking of what she would think or say about what I'm currently doing in life, or I catch myself looking for her laughter at something funny, and sometimes I catch myself talking to her. 3 days before she passed, she asked me for a hug and I told her no- that was the last time we ever spoke. It lies heavy on my mind and my heart, that the last interaction we had was a moment where I could've shown forgiveness and just given her a hug, but instead I was really mad at her for losing my brother to the state again and I thought it was because of drugs. I had no clue she was dying. She told no one. So please, no matter what is going on in your relationship with your parents- just hug them. You never know if it'll be the last.

@@uptownla5o4 I just wish he was more thoughtful. He was sweet when he was little but he's not now that he is older. He refuses to even tell me he loves me. I've even been lucky to get a text from him on my Birthday. Reguardless, if he shows me how he feels doesn't effect how much I love him any less. I don't care that he is grown up. He is still my Baby and always will be.

Not everyone has a loving relationship with their mother so I couldnt really relate to this. If this was about his dad however, i’d have been bawling. Still a really wholesome video. Just cause I didnt get emotional, doesn’t mean I wasn’t happy for them.

You can be. Just put more effort and see your mom as an equal. My mom and I fought a lot when I was younger, but as I got a little older we started to become actual friends. We have a fun now and shop together, ho out to lunch, get mani pedis and talk about decorating and help eachother organize things. It gets better. Remember, your mom was your age once and she is still that person, the shell is just older. I know it can be difficult sometimes, but you only get 1 mom. Be her friend. You won't regret it. Also, it won't happen over night, you gotta keep working in it. Show eachother respect. Peace.
