The Love a son has for his mother is so special. Doesn’t make him less masculine, weak or a wimp. It does just the opposite, it shows how strong, and truly powerful he is in his heart and soul. It’s the same with mine. I’m very sorry you’re going through that, too. It’s bizarre and it’s painful. (It’s also unhealthy.) I have to say, though, I’m hearing that from a lot of moms lately. I try to tell people this too. My mom passed in 2017, and even though we were estranged and I didnt like her a lot of the time, and had a lot of resentment- I cried and felt a pain I never felt before when I got the news. Grieving a dead parent is really hard, and something that takes a long time to process. I catch myself sometimes thinking of what she would think or say about what I'm currently doing in life, or I catch myself looking for her laughter at something funny, and sometimes I catch myself talking to her. 3 days before she passed, she asked me for a hug and I told her no- that was the last time we ever spoke. It lies heavy on my mind and my heart, that the last interaction we had was a moment where I could've shown forgiveness and just given her a hug, but instead I was really mad at her for losing my brother to the state again and I thought it was because of drugs. I had no clue she was dying. She told no one. So please, no matter what is going on in your relationship with your parents- just hug them. You never know if it'll be the last.

Aww this literally had me in tears 😭. I shared this video with my son as we share the same book. I read it to him 25 yrs ago and throughout the years and 25 yrs later we still sing the song to one another. Your recreation of the book was brilliant and heart warming. Thank you for sharing it with us😊and thank you for being such a loving son to your mom❤️

Not everyone has a loving relationship with their mother so I couldnt really relate to this. If this was about his dad however, i’d have been bawling. Still a really wholesome video. Just cause I didnt get emotional, doesn’t mean I wasn’t happy for them.

What an amazing way to show your mom how much you love her! I remember reading that book to my kids when they were little and it still makes me cry when I come across it. It's safe to say that your mom will always treasure the book ❤

You can be. Just put more effort and see your mom as an equal. My mom and I fought a lot when I was younger, but as I got a little older we started to become actual friends. We have a fun now and shop together, ho out to lunch, get mani pedis and talk about decorating and help eachother organize things. It gets better. Remember, your mom was your age once and she is still that person, the shell is just older. I know it can be difficult sometimes, but you only get 1 mom. Be her friend. You won't regret it. Also, it won't happen over night, you gotta keep working in it. Show eachother respect. Peace.
