I think part of the reason that the curved mask works better than the straight line is because it plays into viewers visual expectations regarding color banding artifacts as opposed to coming off as the signature of a particular tool. It was a good choice and definitely made it seem more natural.

The 'Wait how did they do that' feeling is the best! I just love when filmmakers create something that makes you rewind, look again and try to recreate it. Inspiring video mate.

I stumbled upon your channel while searching for a dehancer tutorial on KZbin, and I must say, the concept is truly captivating. I was particularly impressed by the seamless rotating shot transitions that bridge the past to the present. Your storytelling skills are remarkable, and I eagerly anticipate more tutorials of this nature in the future. You certainly deserve a substantial following for your expertise, which has the potential to benefit a wide audience and provide valuable learning opportunities.

I've been considering grabbing a camcorder since your video on the two you showcased in your video two months ago and in 're:home'. I've been wanting to get one for an upcoming hiking trip and I think it would be awesome to capture home-movie style footage and release it. Dehancer would be dope to have as well :)

Aftersun was such a breath of fresh air despite being a film in which I was holding my breath the majority of the time. Really love the recreation. I came because *ooh free dehancer* but I stayed because of everything else.

I think shedding utterly cathartic tears while seeing the ending of Aftersun on the bigscreen of my local cinema will be crystallized into my memory until the day I die. I'd love to try my hand at Dehancer to try and recreate this same sequence for myself.
