GRACE! I have a project for you: disability friendly meals - I can stand up for about 10mins max (even with a seat in the kitchen - if it goes in the oven and I can sit for 20mins or so I can maybe do another 5mins) but what can I cook!?! I loved cooking and I love good food! I'm vegetarian - my current fav is to use prepared roasted veg trays, lazy garlic, then chop up halloumi and bake it all for 45mins. That's the sort of thing I could cook but I need MORE :D I just feel like you're a good person to ask!

Hi Grace. I used to work in Ice Cream at Unilever head office (company that owns Calippo brand). Calippo dots are definitely still around. They are part of the out of home range so you won't find them in supermarkets - they will usually be in mom and pops shops around the country - particularly on the coast. We had them in some of our freezers at work :)

The baked bean pizza has blown my mind. It makes sense. It’s essentially baked beans on toast, just it’s fancy Italian toast. I think I will have to try it. Love the way you bake. I’d love to see you do a comparison of all the different types of cakes, you know, sponge cake, pound cake, chiffon cake etc etc, and show how they’re all made but then also taste test them and describe the differences. As a new baker who can’t decide what to make next it would be so helpful, and when you explain how something tastes I get it.

Haha I remember that "Turkey twizzler" Jamie Oliver malarkey. He really hates those succers!! I think he revolutionised school dinners and also did some great work in hospitals to improve hospital meals. Glad he uses his platform for good change. Helping us to eat the best food we can. Not restrictive, just not so many additives!! Sure they had to change the recipe after that!

usually the reason commercially produced cakes have that really soft texture is because they're made with vegetable oil rather than butter because butter is spenny!!

I loved the baker boys lemon cupcakes! Yum! They were such a different consistency than other cupcakes 🧁! They used to sell crisps back in the mid seventies and they came in a gold packet and had I loved the beef flavour when I came out of swimming once a week- that was my treat! They just hold the wonderful tasty memories for me and I thought I was the bomb when I was walking to the car with my gold bag of crisps!!

Fun fact: my dad is one of the engineers who developed the machine used to make Calippo shots 😄 He told me that it wasn‘t a trivial challenge to produce them in that shape in these large quantities.

I used to be a product developer for Mondelez. They own both Cadbury and Ritz brands. Hence the collab. In Australia they still do a Ritz sandwich with a chocolate cream in the middle (not sure if they are elsewhere).

I started year 7 in 2000 and there was “turkey 2000” which, I kid you not, was turkey in the shape of 2000 all joined up. I used to love Cadbury Tasters - which were solid chocolate mini spheres with a coating. And Cadbury oat crunch - which was released at the same time as that Ritz one :) xxx

In New Zealand a cheap dinner growing up was 'Spaghetti Pizza' - basically a scone base but with less baking powder, with a can of watties spaghetti, extra cheese and herbs if you'd like (Italian seasoning was a hit in my home). I honestly have been craving this meal lately! It was interesting to see beans placed ontop of a normal pizza... I don't think I'd enjoy it at all compared to this childhood fave.

In America there are fudge dipped Ritz around the holidays sometimes. Also there's a thing we make either with a pretzel or a Ritz cracker, and then put a mini chocolate on top like a milky way or Snickers, and you melt it in the oven and when it's ready you press an m&m into it. Then you leave it to harden for a bit. It's so good! I make them at Christmas with red and green m&Ms and rolos, but I don't think they have those in the UK. They're just a soft caramel coated in milk chocolate. Another Ritz snack people make is taking 2 crackers, putting peanut butter on one and making it a pb Ritz sandwich, then dipping it in melted chocolate. We dip only half bc it's cleaner and faster! Also half dipping Oreos and then dipping into crush peppermint or sprinkles! ❣️

If you want to find some discontinued items sometimes it is worth going into £1 shops or places such as B & M, The Range, Home Bargains, Savers, Buyology,Chaplains etc. These places normally have these sorts of things when you cannot find them in your main supermarket

I think the bakin' boys cupcakes are palm oil based for the fat instead of butter which would make it moister a more crumbly. I remember that classic mass produced cake greasy wrapper peeling off. Man they were great.

i miss discontinued chocolate bars the most: the mars delight, mars planets, kitkat senses, echo chocolate bars (they had a mint chocolate one and a white chocolate filled one) and the old wonka bars (e.g. triple dazzle caramel, whipple scrumptious fudgemallow delight and nutty crunch surprise).

Lol...In uni I drove a 20 year old car that was very popular in its day and therefore a lot of them were still around that many years later. It was a car with an old fashioned key and lock system and I actually got into what I thought was my car at the shops and drove off with it 200 meters up the road because my car and this car must of had the same lock barrel combination! It was only when I saw an empty drink carton on the floor, did I take a proper look at the seats and realise it wasn't actually my car! I drove it back as soon as I noticed but the original car bay it was parked in had been filled so I had to park it two rows up! I'm sure the owner of that car must of thought they'd gone bonkers and had gotten confused as to where they had parked their car! 😂🤣😂

In Australia we have Ritz and we have Ritz ‘sweet n salty’ which it literally 2 ritz with chocolate in the middle, they also have a vanilla chocolate one! (No a Collab with dairy milk). But they’re also dairy free 😍
