Great interview👍 I'm glad this popped up randomly, answered alot of my questions. I had seen bright vision wheels on Amazon and just thought they were some knock off redline wheels (well I mean there knock offs 😅) but there the best most official ones I guess. I never knew they had a store and other products. I'm not new to collecting diecast but I've got more into then ever the last 2 years. I'm new to customizing, just started this last year. I actually need to talk to someone knowledgeable about old redlines. I picked up a "heavy chevy" Camaro 6 months ago and it needs some work.. It's been tampered with and I might have been led astray, I payed 20$ for it and I'd like to for one, fix it up, then for two find out how real it is👀. I'm fairly sure the base and the interior is real..but the wheels are definitely fake and all the same size (it's got these weird zig zag shaped axles also). Then the body looks legit but dont know how to really tell.. im wondering if its possible someone made a original clone out of half old parts and a 25th anniversary body..(Shoot maybe the whole things fake 😂). Although the base looks pretty legit to me..and the interior does also and the interior even has the part number on it. Regardless, all this said I'm fixing up this thing and now I know where to get some tools, parts and the correct larger wheels for the rear and the smaller for the front.

Thanks for dropping by. Glad it was helpful. You'r right, while Tony is not "official" when it comes to Hot Wheels, he's definitely the best you can get for replacement parts when it comes to attention to detail. Sounds like you got a real one. As far as I know the repops all had straight axles to keep costs down (my repop Deora did vs the original which had zig zags). Sounds like you got a real car that someone swapped the wheels on. If you're ever in doubt on something, look up Mike Zarnock @HotWheelsTV, he's always happy to answer questions about Hot Wheels.

Whatever happened to Baremetal? You tube redlines restorer

I think he got burned out and quit which is nuts because he had over 300k subscribers
@davidparker82214 ай бұрын
Someone actually did a video on how baremetal got "burned out" and put it on KZbin. Oversimplifying it, he got into a battle with KZbin. Increased oversight on what you could say or not; who could or should watch or not, algorythims and such...he got feed up and left the diecast behind but may be on his other channels regarding other hobbies.
