Recreating Twitch Plays Pokémon

This is a journey that spanned multiple days as a total of 150,496 unique players controlled a single game of Pokémon Crystal. So huge thanks to @DougDoug allowed me to recreate my favorite historical event: Twitch Plays Pokémon.
Even though this adventure originally started as a race between the Twitch Chat communities of other great trainers (@PointCrow, @CONEYZZ, @GrandPOOBear, @Linkus7, @stanz, @failboat, and DougDoug himself), it became something so much larger. Genuinely my favorite experience I've ever had as a creator. This story takes place over multiple days alongside several mental breakdowns. It wasn't easy, but at least it was possible. One day, I hope to venture off to create Twitch Plays Pokémon once again... as we continue onwards through the Kanto region... eventually...

I love how each Master Ball was wasted in a different way. One was thrown at a rival's Pokémon during a gym battle, one was used to catch a Magikarp mere pixels away from a Red Gyrados, and one was just discarded into the trash. All 3 uses were hilarious and 100% Alpharad in nature.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Fighting Red is climactic, sure, but he reeeeeally isn't a hard fight. Especially in the gen 2 games, the only one of his Pokemon I had any trouble with in my Crystal run was his Espeon, and that's only because it's the only one that felt like it had a decent moveset. Honestly, overall I think that postgame is overhyped. Going through Kanto is novel, sure, but the end of Johto and the Kanto postgame is where the game's wonky level curve is at its worst. You are practically required to grind for the Elite 4 with how much of a level jump there is, followed by an extra region where everyone aside from Blaine, Blue, and Red are extremely underleveled, and Blaine is an easy fight despite that. And once you get to Red, you're at the point where large level gaps matter significantly less to survivability than the early game.
