Actually, Team Sky makes sense. Someone on Mikey's subreddit pointed put the fact that since Team Sky wants Rayquaza, who lives in the Ozone layer, they can use its power to put the ozone layer further away from the planet. Therefore expanding the sky. I don't remember if that's exactly what he said, but it was making sense.

John, every "evil team" has access to a pokemon equivalent to "rattata" and "zubat", that is to say, one of the earliest and most common "evil/annoying" pokemon you can run into in either the grass, or caves, regardless of their other affiliations. And, even though the Team Leader doesn't always use some variant on these, they do seem to have a "flex" slot that they can put any pokemon that can be seen as sufficiently aggressive or fitting into that position. - Giovanni uses Persian (or Mewtwo in Ultra Sun/Moon), despite being a Ground Trainer. Archer... is disqualified, due to being a substitute leader and not giving enough information about his "typing" (he could be dark, poison, or have no typing at all). - Archie only EVER has one Water type Pokemon (excusing Ultra Sun/Moon where he has Kyogre), while Maxie only has one Ground type Pokemon (excusing Ultra Sun/Moon where he has Groudon). - Cyrus's theme appears to be "generic bad-guy pokemon", which he remains consistent with, mostly because how broad a category that is. - Ghetsis and N have the theme of "any pokemon they can use", so there's not exactly a lot that can't fit, though Colress mostly keeps to a mechanical theme, only breaking it for Elgyem/Beheeyem. - Lysandre doesn't even TRY to keep to his fire theme, with Pyroar being his only fire type, and happily using Gyarados and Mienshao. - Guzma is the only "evil team" leader to keep entirely to an easily identifiable team typing that they use exclusively. That typing being Bug Type, which is the primary typing of ALL of his pokemon. - Piers primarily uses Dark Types, but also uses Toxtricity. But that can easily fit if you change his theme to Rock & Roll, which I feel makes either Malamar the odd pokemon out on that team. Skuntank get's a pass due to it's tail giving it an artificial pompadour, which I believe was one of the first haircuts connected to Rock & Roll, and ONLY that.

Probably any reptile. That makes it easier to pick a starter. Technically, birds are descendents of dinosaurs, so Torchic would actually be more accurate, but Treecko feels like the right choice for this.

For example, in a fictional backstory, he was a part of team sky and sent to another region in order to spread their influence but was so frustrated with Mikey he used this chance to defect and make his own team. Granted it would likely be more difficult to then see them duke it in battle but there is this guy who draws Team Sky comics for MandJ meme reviews and it would be awesome to see them draw a comic with the two evil teams facing off

when i hear expand the sky i imagine his goal is to repair and expand the atmosphere further into space, which is expanding the sky. rayquaza has also shown it can go into space, so ot could go into space and expand the atmosphere as it goes

Without mightyena its just Team sky but, with mightyena its a evil Team sky. Because, its a dark type Pokemon furthermore both team magma and aqua has mightyena. Moreover, you'll understand once you always played the emerald version again and again. Also, I didn't like that the fact he didn't catch Flygon when its green and it has Fly on its name.
