Rectal cancer & total neoadjuvant therapy - RAPIDO trial, POLISH 2 and OPRA trial, PRODIGE 23 trial

I was diagnosed with stage 3C rectal cancer on January 5th, 2024. Through a rectal MRI, I was found to have a miss-matched mutant tumors. In 2023, 18 rectal cancer patients with various stages went through a clinical trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with Immunotherapy and six months later ALL 18 patients were cured 100%. Their tumors shrunk and completely vanished. Nothing like this has ever happened before and this therapy adds a newer way with those who have this type of tumor to have a new lease on life. I'm starting this immunotherapy on March 4th in the Southern California area and I will post my reactions, progress and side effects after all of the eight infusions I'll be receiving every three weeks.

So far the benefits of TNT are established but the sequencing of chemo ( induction or consolidation ) and the extent of radiation remains the subject of several ongoing studies.
